Never anyone around?

Not even an abductor it would seem.

Quite dark? Made her feel uneasy?

How does she think the kids felt being left alone in the dark?

Quite so, strange though, yet we are told there were all those strange people lurking and watching, Cooperman, spottyman/pimpeman - the resort was teeming with strange odd looking people, yet on all those checks all week, they never mentioned seeing anyone.

That fragment, and the way she talks about her sick daughter's diarrhoe, make me fume.

She is as big a sociopath as Kate.

But they cant all be sociopaths can they? What are the chances?

They don't have to be all sociopaths, but there are much more than you would expect. These are golden years for sociopaths, where cut throat advancement is being glorified.

If you were a sociopath would you rather go on vacation with someone who has strict rules and high standards for everything they do, especially care for defenseless children, or with people who have the same "flexible" idea of care?

My bet is the chances are good than there are more than one or two sociopaths in the group.
