I also wonder why she keeps looking at him - Cleo was her daughter, not his. I certainly wouldn't need to keep checking that he approved of what I was saying.

There is a clue when she mentions that she tucked the Sleeping bag under the mattress. This is quite likely what she should have done.

Kids in Adult size sleeping bags can easily slip down inside and then could suffocate, possibly. 

I have nearly done it myself as an Adult camping in -22 degrees.

Apart from saying he thinks Cleo's mum is immature and she may be covering for the stepdad, he didn't say anything we didn't already know.

The interviewer, just like the interviewers in the William Tyrrell case, are soooo empathetic, sickly sweet. His questions and her answers are like a fifth rate movie script. Slow motion. Not one original question, word, thought. I just can't stand it. It is interesting to note the coverage that I see or read focuses on the police searching the family home and, most recently, leaving the house with at least three big garbage bags (full, I presume). Accompanied by the usual statement about the parents (mum and step-dad) not being inolved (aka suspects). Same line used in the William Tyrrell abduction (sic). Interview questions get better at the end.

The interviewer seemed  overly sickly to me, as well. I half expected him to go and hug them.

Re #28 article by Felix Allen - "Where's Cleo?". Well of course a former Met detective superintendent (also referred to as a SY detective) would endorse the line of inquiry that Cleo was "snatched like Brit toddler"   (Madeleine). After all, Dr Hall worked on the Madeleine case. And very successful he was too -- no solution or a hiddden solution. The Cleo story gives him a reason for laying out the abduction lie again, just in case he had lost any followers. Free advertising of the lie.

The man leading the search for missing West Australian girl Cleo Smith says more than 200 possible sightings of the four-year-old have been reported to police.

Key points:

• The sightings so far have proven "fruitless" but the public is being encouraged to keep helping

Detective Superintendent Rod Wilde, who heads up the 100-person-strong Taskforce Rodia, flew into Carnarvon this morning before visiting the Blowholes campgrounds for the first time.
Police say the little girl was abducted from a tent while staying with her family at the popular spot, which is about 75 kilometres north of Carnarvon in Western Australia's Gascoyne region.
None of the 200 reported sightings reported to police so far have led to the four-year-old being found, however, Superintendent Wilde encouraged the public to continue helping.

Police have been inundated with 'sightings' of missing girl Cleo Smith who vanished from a camping ground in remote Western Australia almost two weeks ago.

Detective Superintendent Rod Wilde, who is leading the investigation, said there were more than 200 tip-offs claiming to have seen the four-year old.

But so far none of the reported flurry of calls have turned out to be the little girl.

'Unfortunately all of those have proved unfruitful,' he said.

'That's been national as well, other policing jurisdictions have helped us and followed those leads through for us, so we're very grateful for that.'

Cleo's mother Ellie Smith posted another heartbreaking video on Instagram urging the public to contact police if they have any information about her disappearance.

The family has also been targeted by sick Facebook trolls bombarding them with 'disgusting and horrible' comments.





The blonde-haired girl was last seen in the early hours of October 16, sleeping alongside her mother, step father Jake Gliddon and younger sister Isla in a tent at the Blowholes camping site, near Carnarvon in the northwest of the state.

Police initially believed Cleo simply wandered off at the remote campsite, but investigators are now convinced she was snatched in the dead of night by a child predator.

Investigators scoured the area, conducting sea, air and land searches, but there was no sign of the missing child and police admit they have no 'concrete' suspects.

But Superintendent Wilde said more than 100 campers who stayed at the Blowholes site have been interviewed by police.

'We do however believe there are still other campers that were staying in that Blowholes vicinity who we have not yet identified,' he said.

Police are also still scrambling to find a car witnesses say was travelling in the vicinity at the same time where Cleo disappeared.

The vehicle was turning south off Blowholes Road, near the area Cleo's family was camping, and headed for Carnarvon.

The timing of the car sighting coincides with evidence from other campers that they heard the sound of screeching tyres rapidly leaving the campsite about 3am.

The witnesses were travelling north on the North West Coastal Highway on their way to work when they spotted the mysterious car leaving the camping ground.

They were unable to give a description of the car or how many people were inside as it was too dark.

Her mother posted another heartbreaking video to social media showing Cleo dancing as a ballerina in a pink dress.

The Instagram story also featured the child with pig-tails dressed as an astronaut and later holding a cupcake with a sparkle inside.

'My kind hearted baby girl, mummy wants you home,' the post said.

'If you know anything please call the police!'

But as the family is reeling in pain and anguish, sickening internet trolls attacked the couple by sending them abusive messages and blaming them for Cleo's disappearance - despite police ruling them out as suspects.

A friend of the family, who did not wish to be named, and was exposed to the flurry of hatred, told the West Australian the insensitive and hurtful posts were an 'utter disgrace'.

'Most of the Facebook comments are being made by parents themselves and I think that's disgusting,' he said.

'Just imagine if it happened to them and they had to read all these horrible comments during undoubtedly the hardest time of their lives.

'The police have cleared Jake and Ellie from being suspects. I have known them for years and I can tell you they are the best people I know and my heart aches for them.

'They did not have anything to do with this and those sitting behind their keyboards should just leave this poor family alone.'

Both girls had Pink PJ's on. 

It's sickening and nauseating. 

I don't think Cleo will ever return back to her family. 
I hope this won't turn into a cold case.

One difference is that there are plenty of photos of Cleo. They seem to be relatively recent, and none of them show her covered in make up.

My point was that every time a little girl going missing, the Madeleine 'abduction' becomes part of the story. Nothing will ever be like the McCanns. But the Australian MSM is lazy.

Love the photo of Cleo as an astronaut. Sure beats blue eyeshadow or crying after Saint Greta scares the shit out of them.

It's absolutely wrong to mention Madeleine every time a child goes missing. It only makes that child the second player, and it's an insult.
