A police source told the Sunday Mirror: “When Kate tucked Madeleine up in bed earlier in the evening she had the toy tightly in her arms as she did every night.

“So Kate was terrified when she spotted it had been left in a place too high for her to reach.”

Who is this 'police source' who apparently doesn't need to check their facts? And aren't journalists supposed to adhere to the NUJ Code of Conduct?

Thank goodness for PeterMac who is a retired police superintendent and publishes his work for free, sticks in FOI requests, emails Operation Grange and hasn't changed his stance in any way because he read the files and applied his extensive experience and knowledge.

You won't find PeterMac anywhere on the media whore list.
