Such drivel! I agree with this and from footage of the days afterwards, it seems Mrs is more shocked and numb looking than Gerry. She often has her head bowed and looks in shock. It's as if she witnessed something that he didn't, then the plan to stage an abduction was concocted.

To be fair to the McCann spin team there had to be an incident of this nature to re-focus the idea of sexual deviance as opposed to the 10th anniversary boring line "Madeleine has been missing for 10 years and nobody has seen her since, we have been engaged in legal battles with the bungling Portuguese Police for almost a decade". Now they can sensationalise and say"LOOK, We have found one of our child carers of the day, a group who was so TERRIFIED of being out in the dark on their own with all these PORTUGUESE SEX PREDATORS that they were all issued with RAPE ALARMS".
I wonder what the Portuguese tourist board will make of that. Hardly an invite to holiday in the Algarve?

SCOTLAND YARD detectives are trying to find a middle-aged couple said to have entered Madeleine McCann’s holiday apartment to comfort her because she was crying, we can reveal today.

It is believed they entered the bedroom on May 2, 2007, the evening before Madeleine disappeared from the Ocean Club at Praia da Luz on Portugal’s Algarve.

The tip-off was given by two key witnesses who were reinterviewed as part of the Yard’s two-year, £4.5million  investigation.

It is already known that Pamela Fenn, who lived directly above apartment 5a, heard a child, believed to be Madeleine, crying for about an hour on the evening of May 2.

Her cry of,  ‘They’ve taken her’ and her remark to Yvonne Martin that a couple had taken Madeleine together  with the above article begins to sound like a preconceived story . Maybe it was Mrs Fenn who didn’t quite stick to the story line. Interesting that this ‘couple’ appear to have dissolved into thin air    never to be seen again. You’d have thought Team McCann would be moving heaven and earth to find them.

Yes, it's very odd. I don't know where that story originated, maybe witnesses spotted one of the other tapas couples outside the McCann apartment on the Wednesday, maybe they called there on the way to the tapas?

Indeed... and of course it could be just as likely other tourists bothering women as much as it could be locals.....if there was a problem at all.   But we all know only foreigners commit such crimes
