The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children is often held up as a model for NGOs. Both its sister organization the International Center for Missing and Exploited Children (ICMEC) and the NCMEC board of directors are filled with Washington insiders, the political elite, royalty, heads of multinational corporations, high powered lawyers and consultants.
These organizations both have extensive partnerships with networks of NGOs, industry leaders and government agencies. I’ve been looking into both of these organizations for several months and I’m convinced that they are connected to elite pedophile rings that have begun to be exposed by the ongoing pedogate/pizzagate open source investigations.
It will not be possible to lay out the case in a single post, instead I will break up my findings into several posts. In this post, I will simply focus on donor relationships and the NCMEC. I’m not accusing the organization or anyone of crimes, this is just a working theory.

The Tech Industry and the NCMEC

The NCMEC partners with an impressive assortment of donors across a variety of industries. If you visit their webpage www.missinkids.org you will find dozens of brand name companies such as Google, Disney, Walmart, Newscorp, Canon, the Gap and many more featured on their donations list and program partnerships. As would be expected, the NCMEC gives prominence to their largest donors and features their generosity by placing them together in a group called: The Children’s Leadership Circle.
These donors have contributed $400, 000 or more to the organization.
One of the most striking observations though, is that there is a particularly strong relationship between the NCMEC and the IT industry. Along with the GAP and Google in the top rung of donations is the infamous Silicon Valley CIA start-up Palantir.
Before discussing the relationship between Palantir and the NCMEC. Let’s have a look at the list of IT, telecom and media companies that make significant donations to the organization.

Palantir

There has been significant discussion about how the CIA provided millions in initial funding for, former Pay-Pal co-founder Peter Thiel’s, Palantir software company.

Palantir has not only been tied to the CIA but it is also rumored to be involved in partnerships with the NSA and FBI. The company has been referred to as Big-data specializing in processing, sorting, and streamlining enormous amounts of data. The proprietary software has been used in a wide variety of applications for the military and also working with the banking industry, government agencies and non-profit organizations.

Palantir software has been linked to spying and surveillance of Social Media Sites conducted in conjunction with CIA and FBI programs. Particularly, workers unions were targets of surveillance.
Palantir is also involved in tracking the movement of ISIS in Syria and has partnered with Polaris to combat human trafficking in the US.
The CIA backed Silicon Valley company also works in partnership with the Clinton Global Initiative according to Palantir’s website.

Palantir has also been used to unravel child abuse and abduction cases. The software recently helped NCMEC analysts link an attempted abduction with previous reports of the suspect to the center’s separate cyber-tip line—and plot that activity on a map. “We did it within 30 seconds,” Allen says. “It is absolutely a godsend for us.”

The License Plate Recognition software is automatic, therefore if you are not in trouble with the law the software is still running your plates and providing your information officers regardless of the situation.
It’s not a stretch to suspect that if they’re running an auto-recognition scan on your license plate then their also likely running facial recognition automatically as well, without justification.

Greatcall is another company that’s involved with tracking and surveillance.
Not only has the company developed a GPS tracking system aimed at seniors that have health issues but is has also developed:

One thing we can be sure of is that employees of agencies, such as the NSA, who have mass surveillance capacities NEVER use the technology in inappropriate ways or outside of professional protocol, right?

CA Technologies is one of the rare tech companies that has longevity. Unfortunately, their history is marred by numerous controversies.

Disney Penguin Club

The Disney Penguin Club has made significant contributions to the NCMEC and is featured on their corporate donor page.
DPC is an interactive virtual world for children, it promotes fun activities as well as online safety for children. It also provides tips that encourage parents to be aware of and to monitor their children’s online activities.
To gain access to the virtual penguin themed world you must pay to become a member of the Penguin Club. However, there are several promotional videos describing the various activities offered on the site.
There are a lot of images of pizza laced through the main promotional video, including an animated character who is dressed up in a pizza costume. It seems innocent enough, there is a separate promo for “Food” with a penguin eating pizza as well. Sometimes, pizza is just pizza, right?


But I also found this Swirl symbol in one of the frames. The narrator is talking about how much fun it is to have an ‘igloo party’.

Although, I don’t feel these images are damning, they are a bit odd.
The website is currently celebrating the fact that DPC will go mobile in March 2017! This may or may not tie in with tracking children.

Conclusion

None of these companies, perhaps with the exception of Palantir, seem to be nefarious actors but taken together, there is a heavy trend towards mass surveillance and the tracking of individuals. In the context of the partnership with NCMEC, it would also appear that the tracking and monitoring of children is something that they hope to expand through their working relationship. By playing on the fears of the most vulnerable in society, children and the elderly, tracking systems are being presented to the public as convenient and desirable solutions.
Finally, there was a post here on Steemit.com in the last couple of days that contained a video where a CHIP program was discussed involving the NCMEC. I believe the video claimed that the CHIP program was created by Free Masons. The video was little bit over the top but in light of what we’ve explored above, it doesn’t seem implausible. Whether it’s secret societies or corporations that attempt to usher in the tracking of children, we need to stop and realize what the implications of this type of surveillance are for society as a whole.

In 1998, she was involved in the launch of the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC), launched by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), and subsequently becoming CEO of ICMEC/Europe.  In 2000 she created Parents & Abducted Children Together (PACT), affiliated to NCMEC and ICMEC.

During her time in Washington D.C., Meyer co-chaired with Ernie Allen two international conferences on improving the effectiveness of the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction and gave evidence to committees of the United States House of Representatives and the US Senate which led to several concurrent resolutions urging better compliance by certain signatory states, including Germany, with the Hague Convention 1996;  and persuaded both Presidents Clinton and Bush to raise with the German Chancellor cases of parental child abduction to Germany, including her own.

Furthermore, ICMEC and NCMEC have an obvious bond and through the NCMEC we have connections to Laura Silsby (arrested by Haitian police trying to extract 33 children at the border of the Dominican Republic). Monica Petersen was in Haiti working for the Human Trafficking Center and also previously worked for the Colorado Human Trafficking Council’s Data & Research Task Force.
She died a few days ago under suspicious circumstances. Her friends on Facebook are looking for answers. Several close friends have made mentions on various FB posts that friends and family have no clear understanding of what happened to Monica except that she died on Sunday.
Earlier this year a FB friend of Monica re-shared a post by Monica where Monica linked to a blog post critical of Hillary Clinton’s dealings in Haiti!! SHE WAS ONTO SOMETHING, very likely between now and then she found out about #PIZZAGATE!…

Don’t take on the powers that be, and then travel to a lawless third world shithole where you can’t roll armed.
As somebody pointed out on Free Republic, why Haiti? Every catastrophe which hits Haiti hits the Dominican Republic. Yet all we hear about is Haiti. The DR has a functioning government which will protect its people, and which makes exploiting them much more difficult.

Alefantis is the owner of Comet Ping Pong Pizza, and a key figure in the alleged DC Ring. That is a lot of openly confirmed, proud sexual deviancy gravitating to groups and endeavors that give access to children, mixed with suspicious graphics, and unusual coded emails, and people scrubbing their social media profiles in ways that are really not easily explainable as of now, outside of the pedophile paradigm. It would not be surprising that key foxes might seek to gain entrance to the henhouses. There is much more examination of all the linkages at the link. This isn’t all cut and dried, but it has definitely progressed from conspiracy theory, to something that requires a much closer look.
At this point, I will believe anything. It would explain the panic of the Elites when Trump began to ascend. Between this, the Clinton Foundation Pay for Play type scams, the economic rape of the nation by connected insiders, and who knows what else is going on, it would be terrifying to see a real outsider, who wasn’t hip-deep in corruption himself, gain the highest office in the land.
I link to this because it should get press, but this is such an expansive subject, and the material so potentially horrific, that I cannot begin to do the research credit. Those who actually are doing the digging deserve incredible appreciation. That said, they should keep their eyes open, and recognize they could end up in danger at some point. Change routes, shake up routines, and don’t be predictable. If you ever notice in passing that something seems odd, or the events of the moment are leading you to some position in space/time very efficiently, change course, because you could be getting led to something bad. And keep an eye out for any potential threats or any stranger’s unusual interest in you at all times.
Again, this is too much resources in our environment. None of these characters would survive the Apocalypse themselves. But with cash flying everywhere around them like a tornado, and no danger or adversity, they can easily band together to amass their wealth off of mere social climbing, as they protect each other from any consequence. Only r-selection favors social climbing and immorality over ability and pro-sociality.
And having accumulated that wealth and power, suddenly they are dangerous.

The Dark Side of the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children

The ICMEC was formed in 1998 in the aftermath of the Dutroux Affair and the massive cover-up to save high-profile perpetrators. The Belgium public was outraged, there were large protests in the streets and the only man making progress in the investigation was sacked.(1)

Action was needed to placate the people.

Several child protection agencies sprung up around the world, the NCMEC acting as a template organization who then founded ICMEC to act as the head coordinating effort. The NCMEC office is located nearby, also in Alexandria, VA.

The official launch of ICMEC was made in London 1999, launched by Hillary Clinton and Cherie Blair, wife of Tony Blair.

This article will attempt to digest many of their significant connections which can be backed by solid evidence in furtherance of my goals to preserve such information cohesively on the blockchain. This will include the connections illustrated in the above mindmap, as well as valuable additional information.

Relation to the disappearance of Madeleine McCann

At least two board members for ICMEC, Ernie Allen and Elizabeth Bagley, had some connection to the McCann family and/or possibly Madeleine's disappearance.

Ernie Allen is the Chairman of ICMEC. His work got Wall St and big pharma support for ICMEC. Gerry McCann, father of Madeleine McCann, personally flew to from Portugal to D.C. to meet with him in August 2007. Apparently he makes millions from taxpayers covering up missing children statistics:

   Mr. Allen is personally raking in nearly one million U.S. Dollars ($1.000.000,00) annually courtesy of the United States taxpayer. On the basis of his Center's missing children statistics, Congress rewarded the American Center with a huge budget that must be the envy of every NGO on the planet, without any oversight or preconditions. Yet, were it not for the pressure being placed on Mr. Allen by members of this committee, in both civil and criminal proceedings, the American public and the world community would still be entirely unaware that they were being misled.

   The December 2, 2009 testimony of Mr. Ernie Allen before the Tom Lantos Commission demonstrates that the American organisations are hiding from the public their real knowledge about the children they advertise as "missing". Mr. Allen's recommendation to modify the federal definition of ‘missing child’ is self-serving and does nothing for the little victims of missing child fraud.

In the 2016 Democratic National Committee email leaks published by WikiLeaks, emails from Elizabeth Bagley were discovered revealing her involvement in manipulating donor status to gain access to influential people. Curiously enough, Bagley was also the Ambassador of Portugal at the time of the disappearance of Madeleine McCann. Bagley was also a close friend of Hillary Clinton at this time.

Connection to the Podesta Group




Franz Humer, Chairman of Diageo and Roche and member of the board for ICMEC, paid the Podesta Group millions of dollars for over 10 years between 1998 and 2010.(3)

Mike Denoma, Director for ICMEC, paid the Podesta Group over $1 million dollars between 2011 and 2015. Göran Ando, also a Director for ICMEC, paid the Podesta Group $1,780,000 between 2004 and 2012.(4)

In addition, corporate sponsors of ICMEC also paid over $34 million to the Podesta Group for lobbying.

I have mentioned in a previous Steemit article that the Podesta Group has a notorious history of fighting against human rights.

Connection to David Brock and Hillary Clinton


Correct the Record paid Jeff Koons, previously mentioned child molester and board member for ICMEC, $50,000 in June of 2016 according to their SEC filing, seen here on page 9. Correct the Record, as we know, was an army of paid trolls founded by David Brock which worked on behalf of the Clinton Presidential Campaign in 2016.

Alexander Karp, co-founder of Palantir alongside Peter Thiel, has also worked closely with NCMEC and Palantir is even used by NCMEC directly.(6)

Karin Knox of Palantir is also on the record as stating:

Take our work with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), which uses Palantir to sift through mountains of data, identifying leads to help find missing children in the moments that matter, bust child porn rings and solve cold cases.

Sounds like progress, right? NCMEC themselves claims to have assisted in the recovery of more than 208,000 children.  That, however, has been over the course of 32 years...

Conclusions and the real effectiveness of ICMEC/NCMEC

According to NCMEC, in 2016 alone they assisted more than 20,500 cases of missing children, 90% of which were "endangered runaways". Only 4% of those cases were non-family abductions, lost, or "critically missing". For all their resources, NCMEC investigated only 820 such cases.

Contrast this with the statistics of the National Human Trafficking Hotline where in 2016 alone 7,572 cases of human trafficking were reported which were mostly cases of sex trafficking and about a third of which were children.(8) In reality, this gives us about 2,271 children who were reported to have been exploited in 2016 alone.

Furthermore, contrast these statistics with an ABC report NCMEC themselves stated that "roughly 800,000 children are reported missing each year in the United States."(9)

Lastly, compare all these to a report published in 2001 by the University of Pennsylvania titled Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children in the U.S., Canada and Mexico which describes that as many as 1.8 million children are at risk of commercial sexual exploitation.(10) The shocking data tables can be seen below and even conservatively dwarf any efforts by the NCMEC.

In addition to the scandal surrounding Ernie Allen, it would seem that ICMEC/NCMEC has an agenda for downplaying the reality of the number of missing and exploited children around the world. Notable researchers like William Craddick have long ago pointed out that NCMEC is likely an organization who's motives should be put into question. The information presented here, however, and taken in its totality, leaves little margin for error in this judgement. After all,

In 1998, she was involved in the launch of the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC), launched by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), and subsequently becoming CEO of ICMEC/Europe.  In 2000 she created Parents & Abducted Children Together (PACT), affiliated to NCMEC and ICMEC.

During her time in Washington D.C., Meyer co-chaired with Ernie Allen two international conferences on improving the effectiveness of the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction and gave evidence to committees of the United States House of Representatives and the US Senate which led to several concurrent resolutions urging better compliance by certain signatory states, including Germany, with the Hague Convention 1996;  and persuaded both Presidents Clinton and Bush to raise with the German Chancellor cases of parental child abduction to Germany, including her own.

She has also taken her campaign against international parental child abduction to Europe, giving evidence before the Belgian Senate.;  successfully lobbying the EU to tighten its rules against parental child abduction;  and, together with ICMEC, persuading the Permanent Bureau of the Hague Convention to produce a good practice guide to the implementation of the Convention.

In the UK, Meyer instigated adjournment debates in the House of Commons on her case and the issue of parental child abduction in general across frontiers. In 2005, the Parliamentary Ombudsman upheld her complaint of maladministration against the then Lord Chancellor's Department with regard to the handling of her case.

Since 2003 and her return to the UK from America, she has broadened PACT's mission to embrace children who go missing for any reason.  This has led to close cooperation with the Home Office, the police, CEOP and other charities.  She is a member of the Home Secretary's Strategic Oversight Group on missing people, created in 2006 by David Blunkett. Her campaigns have focussed on the difficulties of measuring exactly how many children go missing every year;   the adoption by police forces of the Missingkids Website;   and the Child Rescue Alert.  On 25 May 2011, International Missing Children's Day, the Home Office announced major changes to child protection services in the UK, in particular the passing of responsibility for missing, abducted and exploited children to the Child Exploitation and Online Protection agency (CEOP). This was the culmination of a ten-year lobbying campaign. Meyer's role was recognised in the Home Office press release.

I hope to explore in more detail soon how the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (ICMEC) developed as a direct response to the Marc Dutroux Affair which hit the headlines in 1996.

Many of the details of what took place in that hell-hole that was Marc Dutroux's house are far to graphic to repeat on the forum. Suffice it to state that at least four children were killed by these high-level paedophiles, as well as two young children who were locked in a cellar as Dutroux was sent to prison for four months. Nobody else knew they were there, so they died of starvation during the four months he was away. He is now serving life imprisonment for his vile crimes, the result of a court case in 2004.

The senior police officer in the case was sacked just as his investigation reached the highest echelons of Belgian society...leading bankers and even the Belgian Royal Family. Sound familiar? Mark Dutroux was blamed for everything and all the other perpetrators of such cruelty to children have (so far) gotten away with their crimes. 

It was on the back of the 'White Protests' in the cities of Belgium that certain people, including a leading Belgian banker and Ernie Allen, got together with people like Cherie Blair and Hillary Clinton to form ICMEC.


Tens of thousands of Belgians poured out onto the streets of the cities of Belgium, all wearing white, in 1996 when a brave senior police officer revealed the bare bones of the horrors perpetrated at Dutroux' house - reminiscent of the evil actions of Ian Brady and Myra Hindley. The anger of people was palpable...their rage was boiling

It is claimed by Ernie Allen and those who founded ICMEC that it was established as a direct response to this outrage. It was said that 'not enough was being done’ to combat child trafficking, exploitation and child sexual abuse. 

But at the very same time, there was significant evidence of a high-level cover-up organised by the Belgian government and secret services, to protect what were thought to be a considerable number of very high-profile perpetrators. People were demanding action. ICMEC was part of the response.

According to the ‘rebelskum’ blog, quoted on the steemit.com website, “Several child protection agencies [then] sprung up around the world, the NCMEC acting as a template organisation who then founded ICMEC to act as the head of the co-ordinating effort.

One commentator on the steemit.com website wrote:  “The official story is that the ICMEC was created in response to the Dutroux Affair, but I believe it was created to control and cover for elite sexual predation of children in the Dutroux Affair and beyond. Baron Daniel Cardon de Lichtbuer was a top Belgian banker and not only an ICMEC Board Director but also its first President. Baron Cardon was closely connected to many of the people who were named in the Dutroux Affair. He was appointed Baron by the Royal Family, one of whose senior members was named by a witness as a member of the elite paedophile ring for which Mark Dutroux was the 'fixer'.  

I signed up for Missing People's alerts. I had a text message the other day to tell me that an alert was over for a young girl from Croydon. I didn't get the original alert.

As mentioned in my previous post, there is no doubt whatsoever - it has been admitted and is on the record - that the formation of the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (ICMEC), Founder and former Chief Executive Officer of which was Ernie Allen, was a direct result of the emergence of horrifying details about one of the worst-ever high-level paedophile ring scandals ever - the Dutroux Affair.      
 
The details were made known in 1996 through the work of a dedicated, hard-working and honest senior police officer who was summarily sacked soon after the graphic, dark details of what happened to many children were exposed to the light.
 
The Belgian government sought help in defusing the crisis that erupted, amidst the ‘White Protests’ that took place in many cities. Who did they turn to for help?
 
AMSWER: Ernie Allen, who was already the successful Founder and Chief Executive of the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in the U.S.
 
It has never really been clear what organisations like NCMEC and ICMEC, and groups in the U.K. and Europe like Amber Alert, Missing Children, Missing People, Parents and Children Together (PACT) and other similar organisations have really achieved.
 
The U.S. has organisations like the FBI and CIA, and of course State police forces, who have expertise in solving crimes concerning missing children. Here in the UK we have 43 regional police forces who investigate missing children cases. The Salvation Army has long had an active and successful ministry of responding to cases of missing children and adults.
 
Most cases listed in the statistics of ‘missing children’ are either children caught up in child custody struggles or ‘runaways’ who, unhappy at home for one reason or another, up sticks and leave home, sometimes for a few days, sometimes longer, sometimes for ever.
 
Take the Missing People organization, for which Kate McCann was bizarrely chosen as their ‘Ambassador’.  It is hard to fathom what they actually do, and have achieved , apart from offering a telephone counselling service for those who, understandably, are distressed at having temporarily lost a member of their family.
 
Now, there are two views about the purpose of ICMEC. The generally accepted view is that this was a genuine response to a wicked gang of high level paedophiles who had been doing dreadful things in secret to young children. It was also meant to deal with child trafficking, for sexual and other purposes, and child exploitation of one kind or another e.g. child slavery and online grooming and child sexual abuse images.
 
Has ICMEC, or for that matter any of the other organisations, been successful in this respect?
 
Hardly. Child trafficking appears to be on the increase. Children are being disgracefully used on the U.S. border to gain immigration into the U.S. Over a third of those children who cross the border are accompanied by persons to whom  they are completely unrelated. Grooming gangs flourish time and again in the U.K. with the authorities apparently paralysed by fear of being accused of being ‘racist’. Online child sexual abuse multiplies, and those who view these awful images, even up to the worst level, Level 5, as in the case of McCanns-supporter Nigel Nessling, are let off with suspended, and/or community sentences. Even Jim Gamble, who once was the boss of the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre, suggests that predatory paedophiles who delight in viewing these evil images should not be sent to be prison. Meanwhile, in the nation’s primary schools, LGBT and transgender activists are allowed to peddle their ideas and ‘storybooks’ for children which contain some graphic images totally unsuitable for children of that age.
 
Another view of ICMEC is that it is a cunning front to enable high-society, wealthy paedophiles to continue their sexual abuse of under-age children with impunity. On this view, powerful and wealthy people combine to set up worthy agencies which sound as though they are helping children in some way, but in reality help to keep the lid on their evil activities ever being brought into the open, and prevent them from being prosecuted for their crimes.   
 
One of the central personalities at  ICMEC was Baron Daniel Cardon de Lichtbuer.

Cardon was the very first President of ICMEC in 1998 and has served on the Board of Directors ever since. Clearly he was chosen by Ernie Allen. In fact Cardon has for the past two decades been deeply involved in a plethora of organisations dealing with missing, abused and exploited children.
 
Cardon spent his entire career in the Belgian banking world and has been a long-time member of the business community. His banking career started at Bank Brussels Lambert (BBL), where he eventually became CEO. He belongs to the Brussels business association known as: Le Circle de Lorraine.
 
To receive the title of ‘Baron’ in Belgium is akin to being made a ‘Lord’ or a ‘Sir’ in the U.K. It is an honour bestowed by King of Belgium for ‘service and achievement’.
 
King Albert II awarded the title of ‘Baron” to Daniel Cardon in 1998, the same year he was made President of ICMEC.


But both King Albert II and Baron Daniel Cardon de Lichtbuer were named by witnesses in the investigation of Dutroux Affair.
 
A ‘King Albert’ was identified by one witness as being present at a gathering described as a ‘hunt of children”. However, it is not clear whether the witness was referring to King Albert I or King Albert II.
 
Baron Cardon was not named by any witness as being directly involved in the sexual abuse of children, but he was certainly actively involved in the subsequent cover-up.
 
The wife of the King, Queen Poala, at the same time also became actively involved in various organisations championing  the causes of abused children.
 
Baron Cardon was also amongst those formed a new child advocacy organisation in Belgium, Child Focus,. Just three years later he was a prime move in 2001 of the organisation Missing Children Europe (2001).
 
He soon also became a member of the Board of Directors of an Italian  foundation for children Foundazione Child.
 
The President and Founder of Foundazione Child, Ernesto Caffo, at the same time became a Director on the ICMEC Board of Directors.
  
Cardon also takes a prominent role in Belgian child welfare organisation, Ami-Huderf, and the Belgian Kids Fund.
 
Why did Cardon suddenly become a prime mover and shaker amongst  these child welfare group in the U.S., Belgium and Italy.

Simple answer to that - he didn't.

Much like the UK's CEOP, the NCMEC and it's sister organisation, the ICMEC, are quangos, they are largely government financed and work hand in hand with official police forces.

On the surface, the concept is something to welcome across the globe, anything that might help combat child sex abuse and trafficking is surely commendable and should be embraced without question.  What goes on behind the scenes in the UK and across the pond in the US of A is a matter of conjecture, at least until such times (if ever) that some malpractice within the organisations has been exposed or proven.

What do they do?  Well they talk a good job but as regards productivity - again a matter of conjecture.  Unless you listen to statistics which are easily open to crafty manipulation.

As I think I've said before, I strongly believe Gerry McCanns visit to the US of A, accompanied by Justine McGuinness, was administered through the auspices of Lady Catherine Meyer, of PACT fame and the UK government, under the leadership of Tony Blair and his successor.  Stands to reason he would meet with a chief such as Ernie Allen whilst on his 'fact finding' and PR mission.

The entire strategy would appear to facilitate the McCanns claim, one could even say insistence, of abduction by paedophile - with the occasional mention of child trafficking for good measure.

I guess if you intend to claim your child has most probably been abducted by an intruder/paedophile/child trafficker, without any evidence to substantiate the claim, you would need to shout very loud to get people to stand up and listen.  That's precisely what the McCanns did - with great panache I might add.
