Re: The search for Madeleine McCann
According to Kate they didn't search on the night because it was too cold and dark.
Surely, if you believe that your 4 year old is out there on a cold dark night you would be searching frantically, not leaving her there in those conditions until the morning.
Kate is her own worst enemy when she speaks - this tells me that either she didn't care about Madeleine or she knew that she wouldn't be found.

The fifth picture down always gets to me... she can't even bring herself to put holes in her t-shirt with her Find Maddie badge. She's got the badge pinned onto her skirt. Lip service to the "search" for her little lost daughter. What a disgusting "woman" that is.

Just look at how genuinely happy they both are. Poor Madeleine.

Re: The search for Madeleine McCann
I have seen the photo of the two of them walking along hand in hand a number of times, but have only now thought, how could they be walking along like that with smiles on their faces with cuddlecat in her hand?
Cuddlecat, Maddie's favourite toy!
The favourite toy of their missing daughter in her hand and yet they look like that. Wow.

They are amazing people. They can switch their emotions on and off just because someone tells them to (in case the abductor is watching), no other human being could do that, especially under those circumstances.

I can never see that picture without thinking that they are both very , very aware of the photographers, and that cuddlecat is being used to cover Kate's face because she is laughing.......plebgate wrote:I have seen the photo of the two of them walking along hand in hand a number of times, but have only now thought, how could they be walking along like that with smiles on their faces with cuddlecat in her hand?

Indeed sharonl! Equally amazing is the McCanns plonking their 2 year old twins back in the local creche immediately following Maddie's horrific fate, allegedly at the hands of a deranged stranger.

Obviously far more important than physically searching for Maddie

Re: The search for Madeleine McCann
I have never encountered parents of a missing child to discuss their sex life in a tabloid.
'I couldn't make love to Gerry'
this would be an article for which they were presumably paid. It had nothing to do with the search for their daughter Madeleine and it had no duty of care to protect their twins from sensational headlines.
The search?
What search apart from the search for funds.

Well, at least that's one thing that Kate has said that I can readily agree with. I couldn't make love to Gerry either. :puke:

Best not to think about it Barry
Kate flatly refused to answer 48 questions that could help find her daughter, in yet she willingly reveals private information about her and her husband's sex life. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

The Tuesday night and Wednesday morning
I keep coming back in my mind to the Tuesday night, 1 May, when there seems to have been much phone activity, and the alleged crying (but which child might have been crying is unclear); the quiz night with a suggestion that Kate then slept separately as she was cross about Gerry's attention to the quiz night hostess; the maid's statement that a cot was in the parents' bedroom next morning, and one bed in the children's room had not been slept in (but one had?).
I also thought that I read some years ago that one of the maids was turned away from 5a as not needed, but cannot find it. It would be interesting to see which day that was. If it is true that on the Wednesday morning the maid was admitted, no children were present, and the parents were on their way out - then where were the children? Where was Madeleine? I had wondered whether Tuesday night was the 'main' night but if so what had happened by the morning? If the maid was admitted on the Wednesday morning then the scene could be taken as 'normal'. There was also a suggestion I read that a cleaning cupboard had been opened in the apartment block and materials taken.
If, as Richard D. Hall suggests in the documentary, the last photo at the pool could only have been taken on one of the two sunny days that week - Sunday and Monday, because Thursday 3rd was cloudy and quite cold - then the timeline changes. I am trying to sort out: phone activity Tuesday night / Weds. morning (early); creche records Weds and Thursday, maid being admitted; possibly maid being turned away (if true, when?); visits to the 'Triangle'; blue bag, pink blanket; cleaning cupboard; cleaning. Sorry if that doesn't make too much sense, but an effort here to understand what might be possible, and any links very welcome.
