Kate McCann misspelling her daughter's name, why?

I find this very odd, a mother who misspelling her daughters name...and not once.

It would be very interesting to see if anyone have more examples than these two.

The pic on the left is a note from Kate and it was posted on Twitter.

Really who spells their daughters name incorrectly? @NickE That is so weird? It is about on par with madeleine ( lack of capital) on the front cover of her book. Is it definitely KM's writing?

Just wondered when that twitter message with the misspelt 'Madeleine' was posted. Was it after the renewed debate about there being
another 'Madeleine ' being signed into the crèche? Maybe whose name was spelt differently? If so, this is probably another of Kate's little games to make us believe that she often spells it that way.......it's not 'wrong' , it's just that the 'i' is of a piece with the 'e ' Don't ask!!

IMO, the creche sheet was probably not written by Kate. Therefore Kate has had to copy the spelling used in the creche sheet.

@NickE - I actually think that it is just the way KM writes 'in', in both versions of the name 'Madeleine'. If you look at her 'n' on its own, it is just an inverted 'v' for want of a better description. You can see the pointed 'n' in the word 'supporting' above, and here the 'i' drops down from the 't' before it. She doesn't seem to dot her i's, which doesn't help, but I'm fairly sure she has spelt Madeleine's name as it should be. smilie

I agree with Skyrocket and Aquila on this one. It's sloppy handwriting, looks as though it has been done in a hurry, and it also looks very childish. I would half-expect to see a loveheart instead of a dot on the i.

Indeed sloppy, childish and rather unbalanced, but that is no surprise.

Nontheless ridiculous to suggest Kate McCann has misspelt her own daughters name. My handwriting changes dramatically depending on circumstances - no way could anything nefarious be implied. Also it's deteriorated considerably since the advent of the computer - more of a scrawl these days.
