Nine years ago today, Madeline McCann went missing from a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, in Portugal’s Algarve.

The three-year-old was left asleep in a bedroom with her two-year-old twin brother and sister while her parents, Kate and Gerry, ate at a nearby tapas restaurant.
When Kate went to check on the children at around 10pm, Maddie had disappeared.

The investigation
Last year, the Government announced that by June 2015, the search to find Maddie had cost in excess of £10million.

Consequently, the investigation was scaled back in October 2015, at which point officers had investigated more than 60 people, considered 650 sex offenders and looked at 8,685 reported sightings of Madeleine around the world.
The number of officers working the case was reduced from 29 to four. The Met Office said the ‘vast majority’ of the team’s work had been completed.

The theories
Despite thousands of sightings and conspiracy theories, Madeleine has never been found.

Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe, Metropolitan Police commissioner, said last week that unless new evidence comes to light, there remains a final line of enquiry before the case ‘concludes’.

Gerry McCann feels ‘betrayed’ by press intrusion

The Home Office recently gave the force an extra £95,000 in order to sustain the investigation for a few months longer.
Speaking to the Evening Standard, Mick Duthie, Detective Chief Superintendent, said ‘there is always the possibility that we will find Madeleine and we that we will find her alive.’

The family
Madeleine’s parents, Kate and Gerry, have called for an artist’s impression of their daughter to be drawn up in case people do not recognise her.

Maddie, who disappeared at the age of three, will turn 13 next month if she is still alive, but no drawing has yet been made to show what she might look like at that age.
A friend of the pair told the Mirror that ‘sometimes Kate worries the public won’t recognise her.’

Since they didn't give out a very good likeness photograph days after she disappeared (How old was Madeleine in that Photograph) I hardly think we should hold our breaths that this latest photograph will do much good.  Sometimes Kate worries.  Well pity she didn't worry a bit more before supposedly leaving three under four's home alone.

Good grief, all the money and air time the McCanns have had and they "want" a new artists impression!  Jeez, just do it themselves already, and then coincide its release with attending the desperately needed Reconstruction of the night they lost Maddie. Talk about maximum publicity that would give her.  Don't they want to give her every chance to be found??? 

It's insane to me how anyone believes a single word the McCanns say!

'What we know' ? Then the writer should remove the bit about her sleeping on the night of the 'event' because that is what the parents tell us, not what we 'know'.

 At least they say being snatched by a paedo is not proven

The single which is proposed with all monies going to Missing People Charity, how can I find out the exact number of 'missing people' this charity has found? 
Appreciate any help, links etc.

As many people view them as being a "secret" society with (some) alleged members being unwilling to confirm whether they are or not, it could be difficult for the charity to publish a list of names.

I wonder if they are required to do so by law?

What for? They never use any of the old ones!
Not even when Kate visits PDL (allegedly) a few times a year walking all over the places, she never use it to ask around or make appeal?
No excuse. They could use their PR organiser (Lift Consultant?) to help them organized the appeal.

No one is attacking Madeleine anywhere but if one is looking for anything resembling the truth of what happened then who should one believe? In a court of law anywhere in the world would a jury believe:
a) Official Police documents from the investigative force OR
b) Seemingly paid for opinions from people that the McCann’s own paid for PR spokesman has confessed exist and work especially for the McCann’s with the sole purpose of “monitoring the media”?
Of course the real question is WHY do the McCann’s have to have the media monitored?
“There is no evidence to suggest Madeleine is dead or come to any harm”. Well that is true to an extent because there is no body or corpse to confirm this. But with a situation like this one only has to follow the trail of clues and evidence or in this case coincidences which point to a scenario that certain people are desperate for people NOT to look at.
1) 100% confirmed cadaver odour detected in several places in the McCann’s apartment.
2) 100% confirmed cadaver odour detected in the McCann’s hired car, hired THREE WEEKS after Madeleine’s reported disappearance.
3) 100% confirmed cadaver odour detected on Kate McCann’s clothes.
4) 100% confirmed cadaver odour detected on Madeleine’s soft toy – which Kate McCann felt the need to wash TWICE!
5) 100% accurate alerts from the blood dog in some of these EXACT same locations, independently found from the cadaver odour dog.
6) Samples found from these locations reveal that not only do the samples match Madeleine’s DNA profile but they were degraded due to cleaning agents having been used. Coupled with the apparent fact that NONE of Madeleine’s DNA was found on anything in the days following her reported disappearance it would suggest the apartment was surgically cleansed beforehand. Not even on the supposed bed or pillowcase that Madeleine was on when she was apparently taken.
7) No physical sign or forensic sign of an intruder or break in, let alone 3!
8) McCann’s deleting their mobile phone histories.
9) McCann’s informing the media before the Police.
10) McCann’s receiving political assistance from the first few hours – Proved as per Craig Murray!
11) People wanting to know details – Google CATS 19309, Gaspar statements!
12) Multiple witness statement contradictions.
13) Last photo fraud which wasn’t produced for 3 weeks despite being on the McCann’s camera on that night! The evidence shows that it was taken on the Sunday 29th April, why the need to have it changed to say it was from the Thursday?!
14) WHY were Madeleine’s medical records withheld from the Portuguese Police?
15) WHO authorised that decision?
16) WHO authorised the sending of the high level PR groups, Control Risks Group, Carter Ruck lawyers, extradition lawyers to aid the McCann’s and who paid for them?
17) WHO decided on the choice of such reputable firms?
18) WHO authorised the sending of UK Police Officers to Praia da Luz to assist the Portuguese Police with the case when it’s shown they were simply there to protect the McCann’s.
19) WHO decided the Portuguese PJ were not able to handle the case under their own capabilities?
20) WHO authorised the British Police to actively interfere with the Portuguese investigation?
21) WHO informed the British media that the Portuguese PJ were “bungling” “botched” and other associated libellous and inaccurate claims? Claims still made to this very day. HOW would they know this?
22) WHO authorised the decision to require that Goncalo Amaral be removed from the investigation in Portugal?
23) WHY did this decision need to be made?
24) WHO in the Portuguese Police/Political offices made and approved the requirement that Goncalo Amaral needed to be removed from the investigation?
25) WHY was this decision made?
26) WHY are British Intelligence involved in this case? Goncalo Amaral himself as stated as fact that until MI5/MI6 stop interfering then the case will not be allowed to be solved. “until MI5 opens the files, we’ll never know what happened”.
27) WHO intercepted Martin Grime at Faro airport to ask him what he’d discovered in Praia da Luz?
28) WHY did they need to intercept him?
29) WHY was Alex Woolfall (Head of Issues and Crisis Management of PR firm Bell Pottinger) involved in assisting with the reproduction and apparent doctoring of photos of that week from the whole groups photos?
30) WHO authorised Alex Woolfall to be involved with such activities?
31) WHY haven’t the Social Services not taken action and taken the twins into care. British people have been the victim of far worse treatment from the Social Services for ‘lesser’ crimes such as Tim and Julie Haines (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/.../Father-left-sick-toddler...)?
32) WHY the special treatment for the McCann’s?!
33) WHY did the Government deem it necessary to form the “Gold Group” comprising of Matthew Baggot (Chief Constable of Leicestershire Police), several members of Government agencies and the Intelligence and Security agencies (Special Branch)?
34) WAS it this Gold Group that decided it was necessary to withhold the Gaspars statement from the Portuguese Police?
35) DID Operation Grange move from “Review” status to “Investigation” status with the intention of accessing the Portuguese Police files that were withheld from the August 2008 worldwide public release?
36) ARE Operation Grange/Scotland Yard/The Home Office paying for the Portuguese PJ to hold their investigation open with the sole intention to clear the McCann’s with either no evidence or fabricated evidence that we’ve seen has already happened with Mr Redwood’s “Tannerman”?
37) WHO authorised the continual disregarding and complete ignorance of the masses of evidence that implicate the McCann’s and their tapas party friends aided and abetted by several members of the Government and British Consulate?
38) WHY would “innocent” parents of a supposedly abducted child only do scripted interviews where the questions are arranged beforehand? Whenever interview hosts have deviated from this script as shown in various videos on the internet, Gerry McCann in particular displays body language that is showing signs of guilt and complicity.

Kate McCann is a huge Everton fan and their team, which has publicly supported the search for Madeleine, will be playing new champions Leicester City in a home game on Saturday.
 
When Madeleine first went missing Kate and Gerry released a photo of her wearing an Everton shirt to boost the global hunt for her.
She vanished from a holiday resort in Portugal’s Praia da Luz in May 2007 while her parents were dining at a nearby tapas restaurant with pals. She would now be aged 12, nearly 13.
 
Kate and Gerry are due to join well-wishers praying for their daughter’s safe return today.
Along with 11-year-old twins Sean and Amelie they are expected to join family, friends and locals to remember Maddie at a gathering in their local village of Rothley, Leicestershire.
 
It was set to be the first time the couple have been seen in public since their “tormentor” Goncalo Amaral, the former Portuguese cop, last week won a huge appeal court victory against the McCanns about a book he wrote on the case.
 
On their website the McCanns thanked supporters for the “continued help and commitment in the search for Madeleine, and the hope for her safe return.”
 
They added: “Until we have answers, until there is news (real news!) there will always be hope and we will continue to do everything we can to help find Madeleine.”
 
Scotland Yard boss Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe said: "The size of the team has come down radically, we are now down to two or three people in that team, at one stage there were about 30 officers in it.
 
"There is a line of inquiry everybody agrees is worth pursuing."
 
He admitted Operation Grange, the investigation into Maddie's disappearance, will end once this line of enquiry concludes unless more evidence arises.
 
He said: "If somebody comes forward and gives us good evidence we will follow it. We always say a missing child inquiry is never closed.

No, you wouldn't.  Requests for a grant would come from individuals, families etc and could be a small or large grant. Requests are private so wouldn't be divulged on a balance sheet.

Thanks Melisande.   Can't believe it.   So money given to charities can be given to anyone and the general public are not allowed to know about it!   Sheesh I really cannot believe that can happen.
