Missing toddler's family hired PI's - only for the PI's to rule out an abduction Kunz10

Two year old DeOrr Kunz Jr., who's been missing since July, could be dead, according to the findings of an investigation released Saturday

The private investigation company hired by the family of DeOrr Kunz Jr., the 2-year-old Idaho Falls boy who went missing from his family’s campsite six months ago, said they have ruled out that the boy was either abducted by a person or killed by a wild animal.

However, they have not ruled out the case as a death — either accidental or with intent.

According to a press release issued on Saturday by Klein Investigations and Consulting, private detectives have ruled out that the boy was either killed by a wild animal or forcefully abducted by a person, saying there is no evidence to support these theories.

The private detectives said they have vetted and cleared all known secondary parties who were near the campsite at the time of the toddler’s disappearance.

The press release did say that the private detective team has not ruled out the case as either an accidental death or a death with intent. However, officials with the agency would not comment further on their investigation or name any potential suspects.

A week and a half ago, Philip Klein, the CEO of Klein Investigations and Consulting, told the Idaho State Journal that his firm believed there were three possible explanations for Kunz’s disappearance — either it was a homicide, a forced abduction or the boy was taken away by a wild animal.

Despite reports of a black Jeep Rubicon seen in the area at the time of the boy’s disappearance, private investigators say there is no evidence to support this sighting.

Kunz disappeared on July 10 during a family camping trip at the Timber Creek campground near the town of Leadore in Lemhi County. Despite an extensive search of the area, no trace of the boy has ever been found.

Klein Investigations and Consulting, which is based out of Nederland, Texas, was hired by Kunz’s family at the end of last year to find answers in the child’s disappearance. The press release announcing the results of the investigation was released on the same day that an event was being held in Idaho Falls to raise money to help pay for the detective agency’s services.

“For the past six weeks investigators in the DeOrr Kunz Jr. case have pored over 1,000 documents, conducted over 80 interviews, and conducted over 500 man hours of investigation in the case,” according to the press release from the agency.

Officials with Klein Investigations and Consulting said they believe the case is solvable and that the firm is moving forward with its investigation.

Meanwhile, the Lemhi County Sheriff’s Office has new leads in the case, but would not release further details, according to media reports.

Anybody with information about the disappearance of the 2-year-old boy is asked to contact law enforcement or the DeOrr Kunz Jr. hotline at 409-729-8798 x3.

Grandfather isn't talking, and "the friend" is rather shady

The parents have only ever given one interview.

The father and also mother shake their head left to right on certain phrases including at the very beginning (I'm paraphrasing below as don't have time just now to watch again)....
"We love him very much"
"He means the world to us"
"A lot of people agree with us"
