The Freedom of Information Act provides a right of access to 'recorded' information. Public authorities are not required to create new information in response to a Freedom of Information Act request. This is explained in ICO Decision Notice FS50191203 which states at paragraph 18:

'Set out at section 84, the right of access under the Act is defined as the right to access recorded information held by a public authority. A public authority is under no obligation to create new information, provide general explanations or opinions.'

Wrongly worded questions in any case as it is not the Met who are funding OG, so if any Portuguese costs were involved presumably these would be financed by the Home Office in the same way, so an easy 'no' answer from the Info. Rights Unit.

Don’t know what date ‘todays date’ is but obviously pre-28th October when they announced the scaling back.

Only 4 return flights to Portugal this year ‘to date’ though.

Not sure why the asked Q.3 unless they thought she had slipped out the side door.
