McCann fury as new libel cop case begins - Daily Star, 5th Oct

TROLLS: Internet trolls are backing a court libel case against the McCanns

They could help to strip the couple of £357,000 they hope to use to find her.

Ex-police chief Goncalo Amaral, 56, has been flooded with nearly £50,000 in public donations since he lost a libel hearing against Kate and Gerry McCann six months ago.

The GoFundMe webpage donors include trolls who have abused the McCanns online.

Three appeal court judges are expected to begin re-assessing the evidence on Wednesday.

If they find in Mr Amaral’s favour the damages award will be quashed.

A friend of the couple admitted they were “exasperated” by the appeal and the source of its funding.

The pal said: “Some of the people who have donated money to this have said the most appalling things on the internet even though they know nothing about the case and have no direct involvement in it.

“It seems strange indeed these people may be indirectly able to influence civil court proceedings. Kate and Gerry are exasperated.”

Jerry Lawton is either ignorant or chooses to ignore the elements of the case that the McC's DIDN'T win.

Troll...is that going to be the new term for those, like myself, who see many discrepancies, etc, etc enmeshed in this case (like no other involving a missing child) who simply care about a child and the TRUTH.

Strange that the term Troll ISN'T used for those defending the McC's in every respect, often with false statements that are not in line with the Official Files, who threaten, abuse etc the truth seekers.

There's that word again....."trolls"!!!
So people who have a deserved right to express an opinion as they see fit in this case are "trolls"? Does the same then apply to those who have on a regular basis discredited and belittled Gonçalo Amaral? Because for all the nasty comments I've seen regarding the mccanns,I've seen as many from McCann supporters against Amaral.
Can we therefore tar each and every person who doesn't believe the McCann version of events with the same brush and deem them all as trolls? Well it would appear to be the case if you are people like Jerry Lawton writing this article. So the same brush can therefore be use for McCann supporters when they slag off Amaral and anyone who dare question the mccanns story,or indeed question their own belief in the abduction theory.
Mr Lawton mentioned a very prominent word...."exasperation".
He says the mccanns are "exasperated" by the decision to grant Gonçalo Amaral an appeal. Let me tell you mr Lawton that there have been many many many more people exasperated by the fact that it was a judge in what could only be described as a small claims court,who overturned the decision by the Supreme Court in Portugal,that awarded the mccanns the libel/damages verdict!!!
Many many many more people have been left "exasperated" by the shear amount of tax payers money that has gone into this case. £12 million and counting thus far. All that cash and what has it done? NOTHING!!!!!! £12 million and EIGHT years later and there has been nothing found to suggest that Madeleine was 1. Abducted in the first place.
2. No trace of alleged abductor nor any arrests have been made and 3. And most importantly,no sign of Madeleine has turned up whatsoever. So where has operation grange been looking while spending £12 million? That cash has gone on nothing but paying for five star hotels and first class flight tickets back and forth to Portugal,and it's been used to pay the ever increasing costs of the top lawyers and spin doctors salaries!!
To suggest that the £12 million has been spent only on searching for Madeleine is laughable.And it also insults the intelligence of all us "TROLLS".
I Suggest you lay off the reporting of this case mr Lawton and come back when you are going to report an unbiased and level playing field report!!!!

It's most tragic for the greedy "exasperated" McCanns that people have stepped in to prevent them bleeding Dr Amaral so dry that he can't defend himself from their tyrannical bullying.

Apparently our combined efforts to support a very good cause and support the David to the Mecs Goliath/Juggernaut is paying off

BTW: this sort of comment makes one wonder whose side the Daily Star REALLY is on, doesn't it? Tongue in cheek?

I guess Lawton considers British policemen trolls too, since they also donated a large amount of money to help

Anyone who questions the McCanns' pulp fiction is a "troll".  Not by my definition but by definition of team McCann and bootlicking journalists.

Anyone who donates to Dr Amaral's fund is a "troll". By McCanns' definition.

I am liking the sound of "three judges".

Hope they be the same ones as the last time that returned justice to Dr Amaral.

From a reliable source...

Nothing is happening this week. It appears there may have been a misunderstanding with the dates by some and 10/07/2015 was presumed to be October 7th, when it likely meant it was SENT on July 10th. There will be no court sessions either. We just wait for the decision.
