Note the answer by Lord Bates did not answer the second part of Lord Black's question which asked about the CRITERIA FOR EXTENDING THE FUNDING.
I hope Lord Black will ask a follow up question.
saying the matter is under regular review is not an answer. the figure spent was in the public domain anyway but the criteria for keep the funding going is as big a mystery as that of exactly how Madeline vanished in the first place.

I believe that the Public Accounts Cttee should be asking questions too.
A lot of money being spent on one case without any information being made public.
