The Mcanns work history

I am very new to the Mcann story but it really does all seem very odd. I certainly do not think that the high level of cover up and establishment involvement and the speed of that involvement would be afforded to 2 unimportant people who may have seen their child have an accident and die and then in a panic decide to bury the body as they did not want to be though of as dead beat parents. This seems to be the theory that the ex Portuguese police man the Mcanns are using is putting forward. It just does not seem worthy of all the expenditure the establishment has put into the matter. Perhaps it was some sort of honey trap by the security services.
The more you look into the story the more smoke and mirrors it becomes. Ie Maddy being born by sperm donor. Gerry Mcann being honorary this and that. Surely a thorough investigation of the Mcanns past careers would give a good idea of who and what they were up to. Who remembers working with them? Who remembers bing at kindergarden with Maddy . Has anyone seen Maddys birth certificate ? Has anyone spoke not to the delivering doctor or midwife ?
