Does anyone else share my impression that ever since the McCann case the Police go out of their way to play down the role of dogs in investigations?

The most ordinary reply ,once they were told what dogs had picked up ,you would think right away OH NO ,IT CANT BE ,AS THAT MEANS ,NOT ONLY HAS SHE GONE ,CRYING LIKE MAD PARENTS I MEAN . but she has been killed also .that would have been the most likely feeling ,to my mind . not denial ,but utter terror and grief. joyce1938
