Tomorrow marks Maddie McCann's thirteenth birthday and her mum Kate has told how she will put wrapped presents in her room, which hasn't changed since the three-year-old went missing in 2007

KATE McCann will lay birthday presents in her missing daughter’s bedroom to mark her becoming a teenager tomorrow, emotionally revealing : “We still celebrate her being part of our lives.”
Kate and husband Gerry have marked Madeleine's birthday every year since she has been missing by putting her wrapped presents in her bedroom ready for when she returns.
In an interview with The Sun recently Kate told how she couldn't imagine Madeleine reaching the milestone of becoming a teenager, saying: "It's hard to imagine isn't it, it's hard to go there. A teenager."

Madeleine was just three when she was snatched from a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal on May 3rd 2007.
Kate told The Sun when she launched a drive to ask people to sign up to receive Child Rescue Alerts: "I jump between seeing as she was and trying to imagine her as she is now."
Madeleine's birthday comes just nine days after the family prayed for her safe return during last week’s gathering to mark the ninth anniversary of her disappearance.
Heart doctor Gerry, 47, told well wishers in their home village of Rothley, Leics: “Even after nine years, and we desperately don’t want another one, we have this incredible support and it means so much to us. It makes us stronger and helps us get through it.”
They normally have a family gathering where they light candles on a birthday cake for Madeleine.
They then leave gifts for her in her pretty pink bedroom which has remained unchanged since she vanished as a three-year-old from a Portuguese holiday apartment in May 2007.
The bedroom is not treated as a shrine as Kate says Madeleine's twin brother and sister Sean and Amelie, now 11, are free to go in when they want and when they were little they would go and play with her toys.
Former GP Kate, 48, sometimes goes into the room and talks to Madeleine.
In her book ' Madeleine' she told how when the family first returned to their home in Rothley, Leicester she had imagined Madeleine in her bedroom, holding up her arms saying "lay with me Mummy" as she had always done.
She told The Sun previously how she struggled to cope with her daughter being missing so long saying: "Nine years. She would be a teenager. Time just goes too quickly. It's the quiet times that are tough. Times when you are thinking about her or something related to her.
She should be here and we should be celebrating with her!”

Missing child experts are advising her parents to have new computer-generated images drawn up to show how her features will have developed.
The McCanns have been buoyed up by the Met’s continued support over the past five years but are “not surprised” that the inquiry is being wound down.
Britain’s top cop Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe said the 12 million Operation Grange is set to finish “within months” after a final line of inquiry is pursued.
In an anniversary message Kate and Gerry vowed to “continue to do everything we can” to help find Madeleine adding: “Our hope and resolve continues.”

People really need to wake up and understand the nature of this 'Child Rescue Alert'. It's Police driven ONLY.

There has only been one Child Rescue Alert to my knowledge and the child (not a three year old but a teenager) was found by the police within days and would have been found without a pilot project for CRA.

On the day Kate McCann launched/was the face of Child Rescue Alerts for the juggernaut charity Missing People, the child shown on the digital billboards in Birmingham was not only found on that day but was a serial absconder from home. Social Services and the Police had all the intelligence they needed to find the teenager and yet she was plastered all over the pages of newspapers. I could weep for her. Yet another child used and abused by this seriously disgusting charity.

Is Kate McCann for real?  She refused to answer police questions in the immediate aftermath of her 3 year old allegedly being stolen by a paedophile, and both parents refused to attend a reconstruction when the investigation was in its infancy, even though it would have been beamed all around the world; and now nine years later......

It's there to garner the sympathy vote from the hoi polloi who glance at newspapers and think how blessed they are not to have lost a child and feel for Kate and Gerry. You have to give it to Antonella, she's consistent in her sympathy articles.

A bedroom in a house that isn't a shrine and is full of unwrapped presents and yet the twins were allowed to play in there.

I can't imagine being one of those twins passing by Madeleine's bedroom on the way to the bathroom knowing it's full of unwrapped presents and doing an anniversary thing. I can't imagine being one of those twins who are defined by the loss of their sister. I can't imagine being one of those twins who raise money in their school (allegedly). I can't imagine being one of those twins who go to a newsagents to buy sweeties and find headline news about their sister plastered on the front pages of newspapers. I can't imagine being one of those twins whose parents are on television when their mother and father appear in Portugal and say in a Portuguese court that they heard Mr. Amaral said nasty things. I can't imagine being a McCann child.

Nauseating stuff. Strange statement from Gerry McCann, what don't they desperately want another one of exactly? Incidentally, my local Spa shop is often giving away free copies of The Sun newspaper recently, they must be desperate to get the propaganda out there. I never take up the offer though, poisonous!

Well i guess they feel the need to keep the charade going somehow, as long as they can still get some face time. Wonder if they have ever thought to give all those 9 years worth of wrapped gifts to underpriveledged children in memory of Madeleine? They must know she's not coming home anymore, especially if Eddie & Keela got it right all those years ago when they neglected those kids at such tender ages. It really is an insult to people's intelligence with their nonsense. They just need to go away.

That is not the only thing that has remained unchanged, this "story" by the Camel Woman has remained unchanged for the past nine years as well,  apart from the numbers (six years, seven years, eight years, nine....)
I'm sure a teenager would really appreciate coming home to a toddler's princess bedroom full of mouldy chocolate and outdated toys that her siblings have been playing with.
What an absolute crock.
