Hi tigger
There was no need to say sorry imo. We all have different views and at least on this forum most of us manage to post politely if we do disagree.
Thank you anyway for
and here's one back:roses:
Agree about Diana at the open heart surgery and allowing cameras in to caputre the moment - publicity seeker indeed.

I read she often sneaked out of KP to visit Hasnat Khan at the hospital. As royal watchers worried about her state of mind, the princess asked a top heart surgeon if she could watch him operate AGAIN next month.
Last night the obsessive surgery-spotting by the self-styled Queen of Hearts was condemned by the Archbishop of York.
Appalled agony aunt Clare Rayner accused her of "gawping"
And she branded the royal visit "just a photo opportunity."
TV cameras recorded Di - in surgical mask and gown - watching as Professor Sir Magdi Yacoub operated on hole- in-the-heart boy Arnaud Wambo at Harefield Hospital, Middlesex.
And, it was on one of these impromptu visits that she spotted press so turned it around to make it looked like she was on official visit. Hasnat Khan was Sir Magdi Yacoub jr doctor naturally it wasn't difficult for them to fix it for her so that her tryst with the Dr was not exposed. That would explain her full make-up - mascara and all - because it was just play acting.
Back then, her affair with Hasnat was a well kept secret. Imagine the field day and the sensationalisation the press would have had, had they found out the true purpose of her visits to the Hospital?

Re: Scotland Yard 'scoping' new Diana information
At the risk of being labelled a racist or whatever (it's so difficult not to offend people nowadays) I can't understand why Diana chose muslim men to have relationships with. She was brought up Church of England and was married to the Royal Family who are defenders of the faith. She bore two children who are heirs to the throne, her eldest child is the future King. Why on earth would she neglect that basic duty to the Crown, her children's heritage and their roles?
As for Diana's choice to engage in a relationship with Dodi, whose father was denied British citizenship I can only think it was deliberate.
Just my opinion.

Now Diana has her own set of Police ? Hilarious !
[quote]]At the 2008 inquest a jury returned a verdict of unlawful killing. Mr Al Fayed is convinced the lovers were murdered on the orders of the British Establishment, which then covered up the crime./quote]
What? I didn't realise that. Is that a misprint ?

Just because a certain expert wasnt called to testify, the Newspapers see that as ground to layer on the suspicions just to sell papers. Objective ?
What about the French ? Are we expected to believe the French are in collusion with the British ?

Re: Scotland Yard 'scoping' new Diana information
Interesting article about the Diana museum in Althorp in The Telegraph on Saturday.
It seems that a travelling exhibition of the memorabilia has been touring the US and Canada. It also seems that this has brought in some 25 million for the earl Spencer. Money from the whole enterprise mostly seems to have missed the earmarked charities.
The article hints that William and Harry have demanded the memorabilia back.
Apparently one of the souvenirs on sale is a book containing the Earl's speech at the funeral for a mere 25 pounds.
So once again, lots of money and all in the name of charity.

Link to the article.

I remember feeling very disillusioned when, within a year of Diana's death, the estate was wasting money trying to stop the Franklin Mint from making tacky dolls and trying to trademark her image.

There is an update on this story, a front-page 'splash' in the Daily Express (Mohammed al-Fayed's favourite newspaper - where else?) today
According to this story...
* it was given to the Met by the ex-wife of an SAS bloke
* it was given by him (SAS bloke) to her before they broke up
* he really did believe it was true
* he was very convinced about it
* she was very convinced by him
* the Met are taking this very very seriously
* the Met believe it is true (according to her)
* the Met interviewed her recently at length, and...
er...
...that's about it

I just hope the Met are also taking very very seriously all the information and evidence they've received from people like you, Tony, and PeterMac and Kiko etc in relation to missing Madeleine Beth McCann.
