I've been known to tell people I come from an island just off the coast of Belgium...when asked which island I say Great Britain.

Most of the Netherlands is made of soil washed from the cliffs and beaches of East Anglia.

Can we have it back? Is there a leasing opportunity we've missed?

We were very insulted when Napoleon called us a 'mere estuary' - and now: et tu Brute!

Well, at least the Delta Barrier has stopped a large part from washing back to East Anglia, a cunning plot by the perfidious British to gain more territory!

eta: Under cover of darkness the entire island will be towed to NL territory in the Waddenzee. (Don't tell the Germans - we've got quite a few islands that way if you look at the map) flag

OK Tigger, we'll resist our usual urge to go stick the Union flag where it ain't wanted.

Though the Dutch gave us something back when their engineers came over to help us recover The Fens...

(though only after Oliver Cromwell and the British Parliament had succeeded in carrying out the death penalty on King Charles I, in the days before the Human Rights Act made that a breach of one's human rights):

Work to drain the Fens had begun in the years preceding the outbreak of the civil war. Led by the Earl of Bedford and the Dutch engineer Vermuyden, the project had had the backing of King Charles 1st. Oliver Cromwell, as a man of the Fens, took an active interest in the project but was initially against the scheme, mainly because of the king's involvement. However, after the execution of King Charles, Cromwell gave his full support to Vermuyden, and work to drain the Fens began again in earnest.

Blood and cadaver alerts
dismissed by UK Government

Retired DCI Gonçalo Amaral: "The English can always present the conclusions to which they themselves arrived in 2007. Because they know, they have the evidence of what happened - they don't need to investigate anything. All this is now a mere 'show off'."

Retired murder DCI Colin Sutton: "I would also like to make the point that Operation Grange was so restricted from the start as to be destined to fail."

Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley made public on national TV that Operation Grange is a complete fraud.

Ex-DCI Andy Redwood had a "revelation moment" on BBC's Crimewatch on 14th October 2013 when he announced that Operation Grange had eliminated the Tanner sighting - which opened up the 'window of opportunity', in accordance with their remit, to allow the fake abduction to happen.

Despite "irrelevant behaviour" from blood and cadaver dogs in the McCann's apartment, on Kate McCann's clothes, and in the car they hired three weeks after Maddie disappeared, Ex-Chief Inspector, Ian Horrocks, said: "The thought that Kate and Gerry McCann had anything to do with the death of their daughter is frankly preposterous."

Gerry McCann called for example to be made of 'trolls'. SKY News reporter Martin Brunt doorstepped Brenda Leyland on 2 October 2014. She was then found dead in a Leicester hotel room. Brenda paid the price. She paid with her life.

Ex-Deputy Chief Constable, Jim Gamble QPM, congratulated SKY reporter, Martin Brunt, on twitter for doorstepping Brenda Leyland on behalf of Gerry McCann.

Prime Minister Theresa May introduces Prime Suspect Kate McCann to Royalty: The Duchess of Gloucester.
