Here is What i Think.Starting with understanding the book.

Foreword "The Challenge"
(...) as been made public and analysed so often already. The steps forward and back in the formation of suspects; the hundreds of false leads... Chapters 28 - The Millionaire bet

Sorry, I'm just too simple minded  to follow this 'logic.' It sounds like something Textusa , The Blacksmith and Sigmund Freud ( ! )  wrote together in a dark room somewhere in another galaxy. Like I said, it's probably just me being my thick self.

5231 is the UN standard classification for the retail of medical and pharmaceutical drugs. Perhaps this is Tavares 'code' for saying he thinks Madeleine was drugged. Or that it her 'dissapearance' had something to do some kind of pharmaceutical convention that may (as has been afore suggested on here) have been going on.. Maybe way off the mark but this whole case is so bizarre that anything is possible..

Hmm, 5231 is also the number of the Freemasons Benefactum Lodge in London..

I Googled ''5231 is'' and got the first answer ''5231 is a prime number'' - my first thought was prime minister.
Hereby I dont think Prime minister literally, but authorities. Or people on high positions with power. Might be even Prime minister, I dont know, but yes, this 5231 ''prime number'' tells me someone very important has answers and hiding them from us ordinary and not important people. No matter how much we wish little Madeleine found.  

I read in a few articles - new ones - that people on high positions and powerful ones have been covering up. I have no idea why they would do that, but I am very annoyed by these informations. How is it possible that nobody ever tried to charge McCann's for neglecting their children? Their behaving and habits are absolutely unacceptable.

I will not discuss their habit of going on vacation with children and then leave children to unknown people for hours and spending 3-4 hours a day with the kids themselves - but  leaving 3 small children alone behind unlocked door in the night, in the foreign country to go out for drink and party with other adults of the same kind IS neglecting the children and should be punished. These people should not be allowed to have custody over children. 
But no action here. On the other side, McCanns are supported to forbid books on Amazon, to shut the mouth of the journalist etc. Who is giving them this much power to act as it suits them? 

I do not care they being selfish and totally self obsessed.
I do not know if they have anything to do with their child's disappearance, I can't read them. 
But I know as everyone else that they have been using medication/drugs to make their kids sleep when ''needed'', their children have been crying for a long time while left alone and their daughter disappeared without a trace because they left her alone as they did. A three year old child.  
These people as parents had responsibility for their children - to take care of them and to look after them - small children, young children depending on their parents. What they told us by themselves about how they treated their kids, and a factum that their child vanished because of their behaviour should be more than enough in a civilized world to get these two persons put in jail for a long time. But no, they are movie stars, they are jogging, traveling around, making hundreds videos about themselves and they get support for that. They turned this tragic sad event into a money-making engine. 
That is very sad. 
What happened to the world?  How can anyone on earth support these people?

I honestly wish that Madeleine is alive and get found. I wish there are resources and will to search for all missing children and bring them home.

You make some interesting observations but I must point out that there is no proof or even evidence to suppose that medication/drugs were used by any member of the group to make their children sleep or that any child/ren had been left alone crying for a long time.

I know people question that but I think there was a crying incident.... or a noise incident that sounded like someone crying.  

Now I can see that I wrote rather confusing the sentence that Verdi quoted - I was very emotional when I wrote it so it did not come out right as I wanted - let me try again:

I understood from several articles and videos that McCanns used to give Madeleine sleeping medications from time to time in the past because she had sleeping problems. Not to judge anyone, but I find it absolutely unacceptable to give that kind of medications to children for any reason. There are other ways to help children get asleep than giving them sleeping pills or whatever it was. That makes me think they are parents who choose easy way instead of right way.

There was a lady in the same complex who witnessed that she heard a small child crying for a long time, over an hour and she was sure that it was from McCanns vacation apartment. As there were no other sounds than child's cry, the lady concluded that the child was alone for some time. This happened day(s) before Maddie's disappearance too, but this also makes me think that McCanns were not as good parents as they should have been, you just don't leave young children alone anywhere, especially not like they used to. Kate has been talking for years about Maddie asking ''Where have you been when I cried?'' (regarding another occasion).

So these episodes are what I mean in the quoted sentence. A piece of this here and a piece of that there is what make me think about McCanns as bad parents. 

Due to language barriers and due to I become very emotional when I think about Madeleine and have so much to say, but not able to do it properly - my comments might sound wrong sometimes

Back to 5231 - I think that behind 5231 is a person(s) who have all answers regarding Madeleine's disappearance.

Spot on rose1234, masonry is involved. 
I found out today that Gerry McCann is a freemason as well as his powerful friends Gordon Brown and Tony Blair among many others. I dont know much about this society, but I know they have a lot of secrets, they are very powerful, spread worldwide and they give a blood oath to protect each others. They are even ready to lie in the court if necessary to protect the brother - the best protection McCanns ever could have. That is why they are untouchable, that is why Amaral has been discredited and harassed for years and his private life almost ruined, that is why David Payne was not investigated properly, that is why Amazon forbids selling books, that is why McCanns spend more time and money on suing people than on searching for their daughter, I could go on for hours...
That is also why British investigators has totally opposite theories than Portuguese police and are still brainwashing the audience with the abduction that never took place. 
Sadly how much chaos and injustice these people can cause
