@ columbostogeys " think its really dangerous speculating about this Michael Green being the lead singer in Universal Spirals Band. They are based in Lagos, why on earth would they be involved in a missing child? Michael Green is quite a common name.... If they get wind of it, they might not be so happy......."
Yes, that`s why I was careful only to post stuff in the public domain and not a pic from a FB page.
It was leading on from MG being a musician and the query over who Christine Harrison-Callan is - no inferences made at all, but I get where you`re coming from.

Isn't it stated upthread that Christine Harrison-Callan is possibly Sergei's (R.Murat's Russian associate) ex g/f who shopped the pig farmer Joaquim to PJ?
A narrow pool of 7-POIs possibly coincidentally known to one another and MET Police had them down for next week interrogation .......hmmmm.....fascinating indeed !
Yep. But what's odd in this silly game of "Bring in the Usual Suspects" that the Met are playing, is that Sergei Malinka himself ISN'T on the list, when Robert Murat and Michaela Walczuch ARE, considering the 11.30 pm phone call by Murat to Malinka on the night of 3rd May.
But Sergei Malinka was included by the SY in the last round, so reported in the Press.
It would appear he was eliminated. How Christine Callan name came up for this round would be of interest to know.

It's an odd bunch of POIs - a real mixed bag. What on earth is the story that connects them all? What is the motivation that binds them together? It's hard to even invent one. Either the real story behind Maddie's disappearance is the most incredible story ever told, or it's a simple case as per Amaral's book. Over to Wall-E to tidy it all up I guess!

OVER eight weeks?
Should that be interpreted as WITHIN eight weeks?
And if not, then: WHEN? Past, present or future?
Is JB having one of his fits over a bowl of tealeaves again? Surely not?

We've had a lot of false dawns in this case. And many of them have been predicted in a similar fashion. And yet here we are more than 7 years down the line... I won't be holding my breath - certainly not until the 'libel' trial is over. IMO, nothing will be concluded until that is done and dusted.

Re: Blacksmith
Once the libel trial has concluded against the pair, their last big cheque will be whipped out of their palms and they will find themselves in an even more dire financial situation than i suspect they are in at the moment (hence not suing Richard Hall for his videos etc).
Without this payout of approx £1m, they will have (IMO) zero left in the 'fighting fund' pot, therefore won't be able to silence as many people going forward. Put this together with SY etc now clearly indicating that poor Maddie is no longer alive, this will then put an end to any future donations to the fraudulent 'search fund'.
Clarence M will slowly wind down the spinning as he won't be being paid, whilst SY and the PJ continue to eliminate all the not so hot 'leads'.
Only then with the tables really turn....IMO of course.

No one told me that. The lawyers summing up is on Wednesday so, allowing time for the judge to consider her verdict and the slowness of the Portuguese judicial system, it seems Feb would be about the time the verdict will be announced.aquila wrote:and precisely who told you that?scrants wrote:The damages trial will probably announce its final verdict about February, so I feel that he is talking about the coming 8 weeks.aiyoyo wrote:Portia wrote:OVER eight weeks?scrants wrote:[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Monday, 8 December 2014

Re: Blacksmith
JB's blog is always open to interpretation somewhat - I'm not 100% convinced he himself is specific in his own mind, when he writes them.
The damages trial and criminal investigations(s) are of course two seperate entities. However, I've always believed SY/PJ are using the trial as a timeline guide for their own investigative progression. For what specific reasons, I can only speculate.

We'll be able to see how much is left in the pot in the new year when the Fund's accounts are published. I believe they still have financial backers whose donations won't necessarily go into the Fund.
How is the McCann's search for their daughter progressing, anyone know?

Given that the most recent search involved digging holes in the ground over in PDL, I'm going to say - badly.

They are still going through the Voter's List and the Land Registry, trying to track down the owner and occupier of the address
1, Hellish Lair,
Lawless Hinterland,
Praia da Luz,
24986 - Algarve
You remember, the one Dave Edgar gave them.
Another couple of years should do it.

That's true Ladyinred....unless certain court case/compo payments have been conveniently left out of the funds books (such as the reward money etc).
I believe (and maybe wrong) that the libel payout would go directly to Kate, Gerry and the kids as compensation, not the fund to find their 'missing' daughter.

New one today. Sensible one on duty again
Not pulling any punches
So that corrupt and criminal rag, the Mirror, has had the names of the eleven for weeks but has only released details of those who fit into their dodgy agenda, keeping the other ones to themselves.

I don't disagree with him there. It has always been my opinion that Kate is not the weak one, but the very strong willed and seriously disturbed one, at the center of all this.scrants wrote:He's talking about the events unfolding over the coming weeks, both here and in Porrtugal and making reference to Kate being mad as a hatter - which he has always maintained.phil_burton wrote:No idea what blacksmith is talking about, and no idea what is going on!

Re: Blacksmith
Appendage to the SHOCK blog. Explains the 8 week thing.
But -
Oh dear, we’d better add this. We don’t have inside information on any of the eleven suspects/witnesses or the future course of the investigation. Official or semi-official sources state that the questioning of the only known suspects will begin in Portugal this week; so will the libel trial; the inquest into Brenda Leyland will resume on December 18; and the libel trial should finish sometime in February. Eight weeks (around second week of February) is our rough estimate for the completion of the events which make up this act.
