The potential impact of the Gaspar statements Empty The potential impact of the Gaspar statements

Both of my parents are suspicious of the McCann’s. My Father explained to me recently, “Their body language was all wrong”, referring to the early days when the McCann’s appeared on television to appeal for information.

He has never read any of the Police files and was unaware of the dogs findings, the Smith sighting or the contradictions in the statements of the Tapas gang.

When I discussed the case with him recently, I dropped a bombshell into the conversation, the Gaspars statements, and the fact that they were not immediately sent to Portugal by the British Police.

This information was enough for him to form the view, within seconds, that a paedophile ring perhaps including senior establishment figures provided the explanation for the demise and cover-up of Madeleine. He struggled to find an alternative hypothesis; the Gaspars evidence was enlightening for him as I am sure it would be for the great majority of the British public.
