Police use sniffer dogs again! Empty Police use sniffer dogs again!

So, if they insist on using the dogs time and time again, why have they ignored the reactions of the dogs in the McCann case? If you can't rely on the reactions of the trained dogs, then why bother having the dog units in the first place? If they don't trust the indications by the dogs, why did the McCanns want tracker dogs to be used in the early hours search to find their daughter? Oh, that's right, Eddie and Keela gave reactions they didn't want and thus they were disregarded. Hissyfit

We don't know the dogs have been ignored. They have not been referred to by Redwood.  He is ignoring the Payne family too right now, but we know for sure they were there.  yes

i think police forces have a very high opinion of the talents of our canine friends.

Gerry was being clever, IMO.  He wanted tracker dogs, they work in a different way to the EVRDs.  He got tracker dogs, they were provided with a towel as the guiding scent, who knows whose towel it was or if there was cross contamination.  He also wanted the FBI and heat seeking helicopters.  But hey, you can't have it all.

His claim that he asked for the dogs in the Irish tv interview was misleading, it gave the impression he was talking about Grimes dogs.  He was not.

And of course "tracker dogs" can only follow a 'track"
They detect where you have put your sweaty feet, where skin flakes are present - there has to by physical transference of some odour, which means some substance.
They do not detect where you have been carried, or have teleported.

So again we can say with almost certainty, that request was nothing more than a tactic, designed to reinforce the idea of abduction.
It stood no chance of detecting anything.
