Is the sex drive more powerful than the drive to protect one`s children?

I believe it is, more so with males. Would young mothers in the prime of their lives put lust before protecting their young?

I don't think whether it is a male or a female is what counts but the psychology of that person. Personality disorders such as Borderline personality, Histrionic personality, sociopathy, nacissistic personality etc. all have symptoms such as lack of empathy, unwillingness to ever admit responsibility, need to satisfy personal needs over other peoples (family etc.) , amongst other things.

I know a Borderline personality mother who favours one child over the rest. He's the 'golden child' who can do no wrong. The other children are called ugly, teased, punished for all sorts of things, she has no patience with them at all. It's quite common with BPd mothers to hate one child.

Just my thoughts on the subject.
