German Express
In the German Express ( equivalent of The Sun ) this morning I was very surprised to find an article about a psychic with the Headlines "I will find Maddie". Maddie is buried 40 km away from PdL near Albufeira. He's all packed and ready to go, backed by a dog.

Re: German Express
Wonder if he had 'spoken' to K&G before this 'announcement' of 'i NOW know' where Madeleine is 'buried'?
(they told me, in a 'dream')
40km? Long way from RM's 'driveway' then?

If you were sy-kick and you got this message, you'd think you'd just call the police and ask em to go look to verify your intuition. But no... First call, tabloid newspaper. Much in common with the parents then.

Here's the link to the Express story:

Edit:
I like the last sentence:
„Ich bin nur ein kleines Werkzeug Gottes und kann mich auch täuschen“, so der Seher zurückhaltend.
"I am only a humble tool of God. And he might even mislead me" the clairvoyant added cautiously

Seems that paper in Germany only entertains the abduction judging by the articles below.Julchen wrote:Here's the link to the Express story:

I would translate that as : "I'm only a small tool of God and can also be mistaken" ...

You are right. That is, if you take it literally.Châtelaine wrote:***Julchen wrote: [...]

But there is an undertone, which becomes quite clear when looking through his website, that he sees himself as a humble whatever you want to call it.....servant....messenger.....tool....
It's what my Latin teacher used to tell us: there is a translation word by word and a translation of the deeper meaning.
He was right, RIP.

Re: German Express
I see what you mean, Jule. But wouldn't they rather have said then: "Ich bin nur ein kleines Werkzeug Gottes und ich kann mich auch täuschen“?
Anyway as soon as I find the time to read the entire article, I may be back :-)

With dudes like this one and Stephen Birch turning up maybe the disappearance of MM will end up helping not hindering the local tourism economy.

The ultimate don't do as i do do as i say.
If the clairvoyant is wrong it's all god's fault.
I suspected the mccanns had a few high contacts i didn't know god was one of them.
I can't wait for the trial when they call him as a witness and ask him to swear on his book "to tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help me me"

What does the dog say about it?

The latter part of the German above does not translate into " even he might mislead me ".. there is no German word for " even" for starters.
The " mich" in the 2nd part of the sentence refers to the " ich " at the start which does not need repeating; it translates into English as
" [I] can make a mistake/be wrong ".

As an English-challenged person, I have to ask ...
Any of these meanings:
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=ruff
or
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruff_(clothing)
or
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruff
???
ETA or Ruff, a fictional dog in Dennis the Menace? Or Ruff Ruffman?

Re: German Express
It's a mix of 2 terms,
Ruff is a less common way to express the noise a dog makes when barking. Woof being the more common way. Ruff, pronounced exactly the same as rough.
"Feeling rough", is an expression for not feeling well. Often applied the morning after drinking alcohol. So using the wrong spelling "ruff" in this context implies not feeling well, and also links back to the dogs.
