What is the swansea connection?

I asked this guy an off the cuff question about Madeleine McCann, and he suddenly looked shocked. He then said she was a ''gorgeous, beautiful girl'' in such an odd tone of voice. Which is very odd for someone like him to say. He was in prison for awhile but he wouldn't say what it was. I heard rumors he's a pedophile. I know he lived in Portugal for years, and was there at the time. He lived in Faro. He forgot he told me about it. I don't know how close he lived to Praia da Luz but i know he was in Portugal at the time.

It's a long shot but i have told the police the information. I've told them his name and where he is now. I know don't about the swansea numbers, or if there's some connection but it would be interesting if the police looked up this person's phone records.

He has medium longish grey hair now. He has black damaged teeth. Medium to slim build and is quite tall. He's roughly 6 ft 4. He's in his mid to late 50s.

I told the police today. This was two months ago. I found out this information in an awkward place. I didn't think anything of it until i heard about a swansea connection with the phone numbers.

does he live in Swansea then.Good job you never told the mccanns first otherwise if this is true what you have said, this info wouldn't see the light of day

I do think that there are some unanswered questions about Robert Murat's role, if any, in this case.

Gerry's refusal to answer the simple question as to whether or not he knew RM only adds to the mystery.

Me too,although I don't think its to do with what happened to Madeleine,but there is something not quite right about him in all this

I am the person referred to above and I live at the address provided to the police.
I confirm that I was questioned by DC 4078 Ferguson from Leicestershire police on 21st April 2008.

We walked back along the path that I had taken to Gerry's apartment and I explained that Robert spoke Portuguese fluently, he told Gerry that it was important to have someone who spoke the language so that nothing would be lost in translation.. And that was how Robert Murat was presented as a translator.

Imo that was easly 'engineered' . Murat could have picked on any guest simply by wandering around, then got an 'introduction' by offering his translation skills.
It was essential imo that a third party could confirm this in view of the services rendered by Murat before the 3rd of May or indeed during that day.

All my opinion .

Btw: we now appear to have three Swansea topics going at once so I will not post on this one as I'm afraid I don't believe the story about this man in or out of prison is going to go anywhere.
