On the Madeleine McCann investigation, Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe told BBC London 94.9's Vanessa Feltz show an announcement was to be made at 1400 today and he did not want to pre-empt that.

Look at the name attached to the announcement story!. I am prepared to be bitterly disappointed but not at all surprised. It will be either nothing new or the run up to the new paint job, SY taking over officially....

You're probably right, although IMO they've been investigating for a while as CPS have been involved for at least 2 1/2 months

Maybe he'll tell us WHY he attended a balloon launch, raising monies for a PRIVATE 'fund', in support of two people that have NOT been CLEARED of possible involvement in a childs 'disappearance'.

Fingers crossed for Madeleine, now what did Blacksmith say last night about the important fixture?

Bracing myself for another round of abject dismay re the abduction facade, and the dubious state of the Metropolitan Police.  Any police who use their position to manipulate or cover the truth of an investigation should lose their pension. This is most definitely the way to go!  T'would bring about a mass exodus from the McCann case methinks.

Break away from writing to do a quick interview for news about a story that will break later today

IMO it will be more than they are officially investigating and am hopeful it will be a positive for justice but I am also prepared to be disappointed

 That's what l think, case reopening in this country.  Which is still good news.

I think it will be the official announcement that SY are taking over the case, that is all. The press alluded to this a few weeks ago, but nothing was official.
