McCann alibis

I was just thinking, much has been written about Gerry's alibis from 8.30 onwards. Jeremy Wilkins, somewhere between 8.45 - 9.15pm. The Tapas seven from 8.30pm until 10pm, and possibly others, round at the restaurant. Does anyone know who the others might be, waiters or customers?

But, also, what about prior to 8.30pm? MM was last seen, by an independent witness at around 5.30pm, before the McCann's returned to their apartment. Gerry then has several alibis for between 6-7pm when he was at the tennis courts. I think it is unlikely that something happened between 5.30-6pm, because I don't believe that Gerry could have casually gone to play tennis under those circumstances.

Between 6-7pm Kate was on her own with the children. The only alibi she has for this time frame is one of the Tapas group, David Payne, who supposedly called at 5A for 30 seconds (or 3 minutes) and noted that all the children were well at some point between 6.30-7pm (plugging the gaps, it seems)

Gerry returned to 5A shortly after 7pm, Neither he, nor Kate, have an alibi from then until 8.30pm. Because of the evidence from the sniffer dogs, any accident must have happened earlier rather than later. Also, if this is what happened, then they would have needed some time to sort out the apartment, and make arrangements. I think it's possible that Kate slipped up when she said in her interview about having had a bath not long after taking a shower, perhaps this was indeed true, perhaps she had to take a bath to clean up after an accident?

This would be the reasoning of the PJ and why they believe Kate was responsible for an accident? The Tapas group, including Kate herself, and possibly other independent witnesses?, state that Kate was at the restaurant from 8.30pm until she went round to the apartment at about 10pm. If it was actually Gerry who was seen by the Smith family at 9.50pm, then Kate would not have been able to go round to the apartment until Gerry was back in his seat at the Tapas restaurant (this would be possible)

yes sounds possible to me much more logical than having a shower when you are minding 3 young children on your own then taking a bath when husband comes home as well ! why !

Unless, Kate really did take a shower first, which of course could have been the cause of any accident in the first place, you cannot leave three children of that age unattended. And then, later, took a bath, having cleaned up after an accident. I always thought it was a very strange thing to say, that she had had a shower between 6-7pm (She states she was wearing a towel, having taken a shower, when Payne arrived at the door, although he doesn't remember what she was wearing) followed by a bath between 7-8.30pm. I think she might have given too much away here.

I know, who could wash hair and have shower at same time as mind 3 under 4yrs of age children in apartment with 2 exit doors etc and those steps!On that David Paynes visit im sure I read he couldent remember if he closed door as he left ! accident waiting to happen ive always felt anyway from my experience of minding children who would do runner on me, the instant they saw an opportunity and think it was funny one would go and other would follow to make it more hilarious for them ! which was why never ever tried to take a shower in that kind of situation as heart would be in mouth in case anything happened in this case maybe it did !

I know Sheila. I always think that the McCann's attitude to children is completely unrealistic (at least what they are telling us is) Aside from the danger young children are placed under if you go out for tea and leave them alone, it's obvious that the minute you go out then they're going to get up to mischief / wreck the place / cry all night etc.

you just think is it just me over somethings ! I did again even when heard them agreeing to let twins go out on sleepovers now, for twins aged just 8yrs even on tv sofa !.seemed far to young to me, for that kind of thing to be allowed.its what new young parents take on board which bothers me and the celebrity treatment etc. can have big influences these days to young people
