GM's theory as to how abductor entered and left Empty GM's theory as to how abductor entered and left

Post by Guest 16.01.13 12:57

Just going back to basics again. Bit of a 'discussion'[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] on twitter as to how abductor got in, and certain people saying the shutters were easily opened from outside (as per Pat Brown and PM). Well according to this article, GM is saying totally the opposite, that the abductor entered through patio door, and left through the window..........thefore the shutters would have been opened from the inside, and no need for any damage to them as told in the first few days.

Madeleine's father's chilling belief: 'Kidnapper was hiding in flat when I checked on her'

Madeleine McCann: Missing since May 3rd

Madeleine McCann's parents say they believe that an intruder hid inside their holiday apartment before snatching their daughter from her bed.

Gerry McCann says he is convinced that, when he checked on Madeleine at 9.05pm on the evening she disappeared, the abductor was somewhere inside the ground-floor flat.

He thinks that the intruder - who would have entered the flat through an unlocked patio door - would have pounced almost immediately after he left.

It would have taken seconds to scoop up the little girl and escape through a bedroom window.

If Mr McCann's theory is correct, it means that he would have been within yards of his daughter's abductor - and could easily have stumbled upon him or her.

Yesterday a friend of the family claimed that having thought back over the events of May 3, Mr McCann recalls noticing that Madeleine's bedroom door was open when he went to check on her.

He thinks that the door was left open because the intruder did not have time to shut it when he heard Mr McCann approaching.

The back of the McCanns' apartment in Praia da Luz. Gerry McCann believes Madeleine's abductor hid inside while he checked on the children

According to the friend, the intruder would have hidden himself somewhere else in the flat - possibly the bathroom or the master bedroom -whilst Mr McCann checked on his children.

As soon as he left, the kidnapper struck.

The McCanns are convinced Madeleine was being watched during the course of their week-long holiday in the Algarve.

She went missing on the sixth day of their break and they are convinced she was stolen to order.

The Evening Standard yesterday revealed that Kate McCann first realised something was wrong when she went to open the bedroom door to check on her daughter at 10pm.

She said a blast of wind from the open window in the bedroom caused the door to slam shut as she held it.

Discovering that Madeleine was not in her bed, she then frantically searched the apartment three times - spending as much as 10 minutes doing so - before racing out screaming: "Madeleine's gone, Madeleine's gone."

The girl was six days short of her fourth birthday when she went missing.

The McCanns now believe the abductor got in the apartment more than an hour before the alarm was raised.

Mr McCann checked on the children at 9.05pm and saw Madeleine asleep in her bed with the twins Sean and Amelie in cots beside her.

But the door to the bedroom was open and although Mr McCann thought nothing of it at the time, he is now certain he had previously shut it.

A source close to the family today told the Standard: "When Gerry went to check on Madeleine he realised the bedroom door was open. Gerry is firmly of the view the abductor was already in the apartment.

"When he went in he saw Madeleine was asleep but the bedroom door was slightly open. He thought, 'That is odd' because he had left it firmly closed. But all the children were asleep. So he just went in and closed the door again and came out at about 9.10pm.

"Gerry is convinced the man must have been hiding and once Gerry went out through the patio doors the only way out for the abductor was through the window.

"The front door was locked so the kidnapper took Madeleine and climbed out of the window.

"The theory is the man came in through the patio doors, knowing he has a few minutes until the McCanns' next check. The rear doors are out of sight from the tapas bar where the McCanns and their friends are eating.

"The abductor goes in and he hides and when Gerry goes into the bedroom, he just thinks he didn't close the bedroom door properly.

"When Gerry leaves, the man realises he only has a few minutes. He thinks the only way to get out without being seen is through the window," the source added

I thought the bedroom door was left slightly ajar not shut?? Patio doors out of sight of tapas bar, I thought we were told they could see the back of the apartment and top of the doors.

GM's theory as to how abductor entered and left Empty Re: GM's theory as to how abductor entered and left

Post by Liz Eagles 16.01.13 13:34

Oh my, it's like a Brian Rix farce with all those doors and windows. Just to piss off the pro's I'm going to say - why in God's name would you leave your children not only unattended, not only where you couldn't see them but with patio doors you chose to leave open. Then admit it, then bluff your way through it, then blame just about everyone and everything else for the loss of your child. Then expect everyone to help you look when you didn't look yourself, expect everyone to sympathise and everyone to pay.

People did look, people did sympathise, people did pay, people continue to pay and those that disagree are now being sued, so payment from a different source.

This whole sorry state of affairs boils down to doors and shutters and varying accounts of what happened/didn't happen.

The only door that matters is the one Madeleine's parents closed but left unlocked (by their own admission!) when they left her alone with her baby brother and sister. All the rest imo is about the parents. The rest is marketing/strategy/agenda/money.

Just my opinion.

Watching the video of PM raising those shutters showed that not only do they not raise right up to the top, but when he let go they rolled back down, so if they are the same shutters as in 07, how did they stay up for KM to find them open?

Gerry saying the "abductor" might have been in the bathroom?

And he also said he popped in for a wee when checking at 9pm ish.

Either the bathroom is enormous with lots of great hiding places, or there was a bit of a party going on in there!!

Meeting strange men in toilets is not all that strange for some people - ask George Michael!

GM's theory as to how abductor entered and left Empty hiding in the bathroom...?

Post by worriedmum 16.01.13 13:52

I would be surprised if Gerry had told a friend that someone could have hidden in the bathroom, because IIRC he himself used the toilet during a check.....I seem to remember he said this in his PJ interview on 4th May ? Please correct me if I am mistaken.

Well, it's all rather confusing, because, as per various statements, people arrived at the tapas between 8.30 and 9pm. So there would they would have been walking down the road past the gate to the patio door. We know they said they all left their patio doors locked (except the McCanns) so they must have all gone out the front door and round that way past the gate. We also know, that the Paynes and Webster (think it was) arrived late around 9 pm and someone met them coming down on the way to do a check, so that half hour is pretty much accounted for with people going up and down. So how did the abductor enter through patio doors before GM checked at 9 pm?

Perhaps he/she/they had been hiding in there since the wednesday night.

Yes, he must have been. This accounts for why Ger and Jez did not see or hear him enter in that miniscule time frame when they were stood right outside.

He entered by the patio doors on the wednesday night, but when he came to leave 24 hours later he forgot they were unlocked so opened and climbed out of the window.

As he makes off, he doesn't see Ger and Jez or big JT right outside but that's okay coz Ger and Jez don't see him or big JT either. JT on the other hand sees all of them and a seemingly unconscious child but doesn't tell anyone until the next day.

Thus, remembering his mistake with no alarm being raised in a desperate bid to cover up his point of exit the abductor tippy toes back.

He waits until Matthew Oldfield has finished not checking on the children but misses his next window of opportunity because he still can't remember how he got in the apartment.

Kate comes back to do her check, finds the window open curtains blowing in, sees M is gone with cuddle cat her favourite toy sat on the shelf and legs it off to raise the alarm.

The intruder, seeing his opportunity, and now being reminded of how he got in courtesy of K, sneaks back in through the unlocked doors, unscrews the shelf, puts cuddle cat on the bed by the pillow, closes the curtains and window to cover his tracks and makes off with the shelf under his other arm.

It certainly explains how the drugs Kate believes he may have administered to all three how they had time to take effect so that M wasn't struggling and the twins remained sound asleep through it all.

Yes, this seems to account for all......

Indeed. In fact if one is rich and powerful, a loo is the new wine bar or members club. Who needs hefty membership prices when they can all hang out in some old kazi?

I think Monkey Mind has got it about right.
The garlic-smelling, mumbling, greasy-haired, limping, sniffing, spotty-faced, no-faced, gap-toothed, strangely-clothed "foreigner" had been there all along, in a hidden compartment known only to the architect who designed the apartment and to three others who were sworn to secrecy when they sacrificed a hedgehog, or more likely in a secret tunnel leading to the crypt of the church, which only Freemasons know about.
I think, on balance the McCanns would have done better to recruit the Famous Five in their search, than Metodo 3.
