I V F & Medical Records
Just a quick question,
Would anyone know if the twins are from the same 'batch' as Madeleine?
I am no expert on IVF but sometimes when people go through IVF they have their embryos stored to use at a later date if they wish to go on and have more children, Or would they go through the whole procedure once again? I've always wondered why medical records were not handed over in this case

Re: I V F & Medical Records
According to the book it was a new cycle of treatment.
p.32 "another attempt at IVF ... within six more weeks we found ourselves starting another cycle of IVF in Amsterdam.."

I don't have the book to hand, but according to it, Madeleine was a second attempt from the IVF in the UK. The first attempt replaced a 'perfect' egg/whatever, which failed to take. Madeleine resulted from a second attempt with the same batch, but these apparently were beginning to decay so it had to be done quickly.

Maybe something to hide, IMO she could have had Turners syndrome, symptoms match, link attached. If so leaving her alone was even worse.

The IVF for the twins was done in Amsterdam, so unlikely the first batch was used. I'm rather confused by the DNA report which states that Madeleine's DNA cannot be confused with that of the twins, then it is stated that the twins' DNA conforms with both G and K being donors.
The same is said about Madeleine's DNA. How can M then not have any overlap with the twins?
IMO the report doesn't state that Madeleine and the twins are siblings at all. But this was the revised version of the report, so not really worth a lot.
In any case the second IVF was Amsterdam. Sean has brownish eyes, Amelie blue, Maddie had green/blue eyes. Both K an G have blue eyes.
Amelie's eyes I haven't seen in any of the family, look very Dutch to me with that dark rim around the iris.

Interesting... Especially when the next thread I happened to read was this one: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Clay Regazzoni wrote:Read that and this bit -MOTBO wrote:Maybe something to hide, IMO she could have had Turners syndrome, symptoms match, link attached. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]actually made me shiver, with reference to the eyeshadow photo, which I actually thought (hoped?) might not be Maddie at all. Interesting about the decaying eggs and Gerry's "almost perfect" comment - I wonder if they rejected her from the off?

There are two ways of creating an embryo during fertility treatment. IVF involves mixing a sample of sperm with an egg and the strongest, fastest, etc fertilizes the egg. Sometimes ICSI is used, which involves injecting an egg with just one sperm. There is a slightly higher chance of genetic disorders with all fertility treatment, but the possibility if using ICSI is higher. Children created using ICSI have a higher chance of problems such as cleft palate, blood disorders, heart defects and cerebral palsy.
ICSI will be considered for two reasons; both tubes blocked in the female or severe male subfertility. Severe male subfertility is the cause of childlessness in 50% of cases. Often it occurs because the man has the genetic disorder Klinefelter Syndrome, which is when a man has an extra X chronosome. Instead of 46 XY chronosomes, a man with this syndrome has 47 with an extra X chronosome (XXY)
I am not saying the McCann's had ICSI instead of IVF, just sharing my research on assisted fertility and associated problems.

I've read previously that GM is probably a jaffa - as Delboy once so eloquently put it.G-Unit wrote:There are two ways of creating an embryo during fertility treatment.
