The Mail said that it was on Madeleine's second birthday in the article below from August 2007, but I think that they are just guessing this from the number of candles and the fact she is blowing the candle out, rather than because they have been told this. That would make her a very large two year old.

She does not look two years old in that photo. My friend has a two year old daughter who has followed the 97th centile majority of her life and is smaller than how Madeleine looks.

It's very interesting, Tuom. If the search was on 2nd Aug you'd wonder how they managed to test all of the evidence and have it returned in time for Kate to wear her favourite pants home barely a month later.

But the other puzzle is why was there no evidence found on any of Gerry's clothing?

That's a great question isn't it. I'm surprised it's not asked more often.

And here's another thought. We know that cadaverine is highly 'contagious', readily transferable, the odour will infact adhere to other surfaces or materials.

So if Kate's check pants were contaminated as she claims at work, coming into contact with various dead bodies, and presumably this cross contamination spread to cuddle cat, then why was not all or most of the McCann family holiday clothing contaminated??? Why did Eddie not alert to all or most of the family clothing???

Cadaverine will survive many a machine wash it is that pervasive. Yet Kate's check pants were presumably packed with all the rest of the family clothing in a holdall or case, and no one else's clothing was infected. How can that be if it were contaminated prior to the holiday as she claims?

And if it weren't, back to the original question. Why was Gerry's clothing seemingly uninfected?
