I just stumbled over this article, and I found the last part a bit odd..

While his wife said she found Madeleine's birthday on May 12th hard to
cope with: "Her birthday is actually [a] much more difficult day for us
than May 3rd. May 3rd really is just another day without Madeleine, but
the 12th is obviously a day when we should be celebrating Madeleine,
celebrating with Madeleine."
If they know she is dead I can understand the feelings, when people are dead their birthday becomes very significant...if they truly believe their own story I acually would believe everyday would be equally bad and especial the abduction date would been specially painfull, since that was the last day beeing with your child.. I would believe that day would mean a lot more and feel more painfull than her birthday..if their story where true ofcourse..

And is it a freudian slip when she says celebrating M. celebrating with M..

Moa, I think this came from the Lorraine Kelly interview. get em Goncalo posted the transcript of it a couple of days ago (my thanks to him and my apologies for getting his name wrong previously)...the interview was in my opinion the usual slushy, sentimental stuff that is the accepted format for these programmes. I don't think it was the pre-agreed questions that were disturbing but the McAnswers of which you have highlighted one.

Have a look at this interview transcript, you can search it on the forum...it's odd from beginning to end - especially for me when Lorraine Kelly wafts their Find Madeleine products (in a plastic cover and doesn't actually take them out of the cover) and talks about purchasing them on the McCann's website...there is a moment's hesitation from her when she looks to see if the web address is coming up on the screen (that's how I interpreted it anyway) and NOTHING.
