When I heard this report yesterday I could not believe my ears.
9 months and 6 months ABUSERS OF HAUT DE LA GARENNE SENTENCED 181747

I remember quite distinctly when news first broke in Jersey, SKY news had this woman on who was telling us all about what had happened to her in there. How they drugged her and took her to the cellar to abuse her. She was a complete nervous wreck and she also said that a few children without any prior notice just vanished. What has happened to this woman?

Sentencing today, Judge Sir Christopher Pitchers said: "All children from Haut de la Garenne have said what they needed was love, care and sympathy, not cruelty and violence," the BBC reports.

So the Judge gives them both a lenient sentence, how predictable, I would say he has shown nothing but cruelness and contempt for the victims of this abuse. Now I wonder why he would give such a lenient sentence, doesnt take much to work that one out imo
