Been thinking about why MET/SY says McCann's is not P.O.I´s for the investigation and UK made pressure on Portugal when they became "arguidos" and Amaral had to leave.
Do you think there is a possibility that GM was/is MI5 agent and therefore he can avoid justice?

I suppose he could be and the Tapas9 were attending a business conference at PDL disguised as a family holiday. Such a meeting in the UK in May would have raised more questions.

IMO this is a conspiracy theory too far for the simple reason that if the wee one had been recruited by the security services, this case would not have come into the public domain in the manner it did.
