A Moral Obligation - McCanns on Facebook
With tedious regularity, the McCanns post up links to articles from their current favourite website, The Writing of The Wrongs, referring to those behind this dross as 'our friends'.
This morning, hot on the heels of the disgraceful article slagging off Goncalo Amaral, the McCanns direct their gullible fans to yet another appalling rant on the Writing the Wrongs site:-
Official Find Madeleine Campaign An insight into what goes on behind the scenes for people that are helping us in our search for our daughter. We are extremely grateful for those that have stuck with us while we continue to search for Madeleine. xxx

Below, the article in it's entirety
A Moral Obligation - The Writing of The Wrongs
For the past two weeks I’ve followed the Tucson shootings and been horrified by the signs that Jared Loughner was going to crack. The deaths of six people, one being nine year-old Christina-Taylor Green, have affected me in a profound way. I’m having a hard time coming to grips with the loss of life, but also the senseless act. I’m also angry that nothing was done to take this madman off the streets.
One friend, knowing how distraught I’ve been, said to me in a lovely note, “It sometimes feels like life is a lottery”. I thought about what she said to me and felt great sadness–especially knowing the sadness and heartache she has endured. But could we have done more to avert the shooting in the first place and not left it to chance–hoping this person wouldn’t act on his deranged comments online and elsewhere? There were so many signs that Jared Loughner was unhinged. He posted many ramblings and rantings on YouTube, MySpace and gaming forums. He was kicked out of his university in September because he scared people in his classes. The university said he could not come back until he had a mental evaluation. That mental evaluation never took place.
I’m sure you are wondering what this has to do with Madeleine? Well, it actually has a lot to do with Madeleine in the respect that I, as well as several others, have been stalked, threatened, lied about and intimidated because we dare support Gerry and Kate McCann in the search for their daughter. There have been threats of violence against us online, we have had phone calls threatening us and our children, we’ve been asked if we have wills. We’ve been called supporters of child killers. The list goes on and on… And yet… the signs are there that some of these people are unhinged and mentally unstable.

Re: A Moral Obligation - McCanns on Facebook
I don't know if it is just me, but I think there is a very conscious effort from many different quarters, to severely restrict the information that is currently available on the internet. The above moan is just the McCann's (supporters) push for it.
Today on the news they are blaming facebook for the unrest in Egypt.
I guess, once enough evidence has been collected to present to those that will eventually make a decision, we will wake up one day to find that the internet is not so wide anymore and will become the Rwww, as in restricted.

The above article really does shoot itself in the foot by drawing attention to the fact that prevention is better than cure!
The McCanns 3 youngsters lives were indeed 'a lottery' on that fateful holiday thanks to the reprehensible disregard for their safety and well-being by both parents, who failed shockingly in their 'Moral Obligation' to care for and protect such tiny vulnerable children.

Re: A Moral Obligation - McCanns on Facebook
2. Become incredulous and indignant. Avoid discussing key issues and instead focus on side issues which can be used show the topic as being critical of some otherwise sacrosanct group or theme. This is also known as the 'How dare you!' gambit.
3. Create rumour mongers. Avoid discussing issues by describing all charges, regardless of venue or evidence, as mere rumours and wild accusations. Other derogatory terms mutually exclusive of truth may work as well. This method which works especially well with a silent press, because the only way the public can learn of the facts are through such 'arguable rumours'. If you can associate the material with the Internet, use this fact to certify it a 'wild rumour' from a 'bunch of kids on the Internet' which can have no basis in fact.
5. Sidetrack opponents with name calling and ridicule. This is also known as the primary 'attack the messenger' ploy, though other methods qualify as variants of that approach. Associate opponents with unpopular titles such as 'kooks', 'right-wing', 'liberal', 'left-wing', 'terrorists', 'conspiracy buffs', 'radicals', 'militia', 'racists', 'religious fanatics', 'sexual deviates', and so forth. This makes others shrink from support out of fear of gaining the same label, and you avoid dealing with issues.
