I would assume that the Russian authorities will take much comfort in the knowledge that the Metropolitan police under the charge of our old friend assistant commissioner Mark Rowley will make every effort to get to the bottom of the Sergei Skripal case, much like he has with the Mccann enquiry.

He said the possibility of a “burglary pizza-snatch gone wrong” was a “sensible hypothesis” which has not been “entirely ruled out”.

The retiring head of counter terrorism in UK is also a mouthpiece on the case of Madeleine McCann. It beggars belief that the head of such a serious threat to the security of our country and its citizens could possibly have been charged with the responsibility of any involvement in anything other than being head of counter terrorism.

Sergei Skripal Malinka!  When this first broke it was a situation at the hospital, two days later he's wandering around town, now it transpires he's an ex spy we got via swap......  From my initial thoughts, maybe a malfunction in the radiotherapy dept/ some hazchem problems, it miraculously spirals into an international assassination attempt!  Just like how "someone" managed to "wander" around 3 or 4 squares of the monopoly board with a radioactive f**king teapot eh Mark???  If he's a teapot we are all mugs.  We were warned, 1984 an' all that! big grin  Of course there's nothing for anyone to worry about!

You have That wasn't the point I was trying to make sar. I find it unfathomble as to why so many soon to be retired senior officers with particularly hefty responsibilities for homeland issues have not only chosen to speak to the media with regards to the Madeleine case but to show a nation that they are completely inept.

I'm just really glad that they are "doing something about it now" in their own words, as opposed to being "Too worried about loosing Russian money that was coming into the country" + worried about relations between UK & Russia" to do anything 2006 when Litvinenko  came to a sad end.

Hi sar, thanks for your post,Mr Putin had dealings with at least a few of the 14 persons who have expired from their lives at the hands of other person's wishes!
Anyone remember the aluminium War in Russia and the person who dealt with that little problem for Mr Putin, who is now the owner of a Premier League club?
Then the apparent ease of having Two companies dealing in,Export and Inport of crude oils refined just out side of a Peninsula, where Two businessmen, were ordered to quickly leave the Russian continent,One fled to UK and found dead/suicided in his luxurious Home after several fractious yrs of threats the other One was unfortunate not to leave, then had to spend several years in a Siberian,Russian Gulag Prison?
AC/DC Dirty deeds done dirt cheap!
I suppose if you drink with the Devil, you can at least be known to be drinking from the same goblet at the last bar at some point in life?
All very fine for bumbling Boris to make remarks about who did,or did not commit the atrocity,Boris and his ilk of Echelons are well protected, but I suppose if you are selling off Real Estate in and around London to Oligarchs and not perturbed about where the funds have been gleaned from, you can at least a few nips from the fleas around the ankles in earning your commission!
As if it wasn't bad enough having to deal with MI5/6 Espionage MP Robin Cook,Dr Kelly,Iraq War,Libya, the new Dubai,eh Boris,we just got to get rid of those Bodies first, has the UK ever had such a "Cras" Foreign Secretary?
Mr Litvienko served alongside Mr Putin within the Russian federation and was targeted by MI5/6,if there was any failings surely it was down to MI 5/6 Officers protection of their clientle?

So now the couple in the CCTV clip are NOT Skripal and his daughter but possibly the perpetrators. The clue is the ladies red bag with the gold embossed Hammer & Sickle eyebrows

Hi sar,I wouldn't use the phrase"Moral(s)"alongside any UK Police force in the present context?

It is quite discerning when you see programmes such as 24 HRs Police Custody and the immense Detective work to solve the Crime.
Yet as in Madeleine McCann's disappearance, seemingly, similar trained Officers are unable to decipher the reams  of information to formulate conclusive proof of any"Criminality" on Madeleine McCann's case after eight years?

The UK Police force cannot acknowledge that they have destroyed the DNA from Madeleine McCann, that they wrote to the Portugal PJ would be destroyed on"Health Grounds" if not collected after 21 days of the letter, since when have the UK Police force decided to destroy evidence in an unsolved Police case, now was this"Moral behaviour" by UK Police?

Rest assured Empty Salisbury incident

Post by Ladyinred 10.03.18 12:17

I'm finding this story quite gripping as it's unfolding.  Sad about the victims, as it doesn't look as if they'll all survive.  What an horrendous way to die.

Martin Brunt is reporting live from the cemetery for Sky.  Possibly exhuming the wife/mother's grave.

What if Russia didn't do it but someone wanted us to think Russia did it to continue the new Tepid War against those darned Reds.

Oh hang on... there is no way our Governments or our intelligence services or the people behind all that would be so underhand.

No way would they deceive us... not us....

We have nice people in charge.

The Russians are evil and that's that.

There is black... there is white...

Let me hear you say baaaahh...

Completely speculative, but based on 'they know the nerve agent but won't say what it is', maybe it's one of ours.

Porton Down (remarkably or not?) is only a couple of miles up the road from Salisbury.

Lost or stolen, pressure to bear on Skripal (or maybe a still active 'triple') to get his daughter to take it home to Moscow for analysis and something went wrong?

Have no fear however, Brunty is on the case for Sky News and Amber Rudd has said 'speculation must be avoided', yet states 'the poisoning was attempted murder'.

'Ms Rudd said the poisoning "was attempted murder in the most cruel and public way".
While she said speculation must be avoided, she said "people are right to want to know who to hold to account".
She said the Government is "committed to doing all we can to bring the perpetrators to justice - whoever they are and wherever they may be".

Maybe Amber Rudd could offer such a definitive, non-speculative statement to the people in respect of Operation Grange!
