Lots of things.
Anyway... weren't they checking every 15 minutes?

Talk about being economical with the truth!!!
6 August: A Portuguese newspaper reports that British sniffer dogs have found traces of blood on a wall in the McCanns' holiday apartment.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] well spotted... and no mention of cadaver odour. Plus E-fits included but no mention of the Smiths?
The absence of certain aspects is very telling.
Economical with the truth or simply choosing to omit?

"7pm: Gerry returns, and Madeleine is read a bedtime story. The twins are put in a travel cot"...........so, the twins did sleep in the same cot ?

I would be very surprised if 2 two-year-olds could fit into a single travel cot, not sure why Gerry said that.

It's not "why" he said it's what they both said that is of interest. That Sky report mentions a single cot, Kate was picked up on a "Columbo" Youtube video as saying the same thing. IMO , it adds weight to Columbo's theory that the kids slept in the front bedroom which is why ROB statement never made any sense. But it does in this context.mezzyd wrote:I would be very surprised if 2 two-year-olds could fit into a single travel cot, not sure why Gerry said that.

Brown cot appears more substantial than the blue one which is clearly a travel cot and might have just about been big enough.

The cots (especially the brown one) look like an issue at the OC, the design looks European as we've had similar provided on holidays abroad, and the blue one a newer perhaps updated one? I expect they service the room to accommodate what is booked and bring in extra cot beds depending on the age of the children?
The parents room could have been where the children slept or did they separate them i.e. Madeleine in another room so not to disturb each other? Often twins like to sleep together too so don't find it odd for saying one cot, after all was it not initially said they were in a bed? More confusion?
I agree about ROBs statement but have had the notion it's because he didn't actually do what he said, i.e. It's made up as to support the "checking" IMO
