But the real clue – or ‘exhibit B’ as Harriet described it – is found in her eyes. She posted an extract from Wikipedia revealing that Madeleine has a brown spot on her iris, a feature that Harriet shares. Both Madeleine and Harriet also have a brown spot on their left leg.

In the post that has gone viral, racking up more than 30,000 retweets, Harriet told her friends: ‘I’m Madeleine McCann and I don’t know what to do with myself.’ However, there’s a crucial reason why Harriet can’t be Madeleine.

When Madeleine disappeared in Portugal in 2007, she was just three and would be 14 now, while Harriet is a university student. Police recently announced that another £154,000 had been allocated to the search for missing Madeleine.

Ignoring the thrust of this attention-seeking drivel, it does prove how easily relative strangers could mistakenly believe they had seen Madeleine when they had, in fact, seen another little girl who resembled her.

can we expect to hear gurney claiming the mccanns misremembered Maddie's age and that she was not almost 4 when she disappeared but closer to 9 or thereabouts and the mccanns got confused about her age because they were thinking j=how old she was when she first went to school. titter

It was reported last week as saying that Murdoch might well close down his print newspaper empire as it is not paying.

This has been ongoing since 2006. They set up a new company in 2007 because News International was failing which is understandable really as more and more people were reading the internet as opposed to buying a paper.

It seems to me that Murdoch could no longer afford to invest in good investigative journalists and had to make do with the likes of Antonella Lazzerri and Neil Syson.

Sadly, Madeleines' disappearance came at the right time for Murdoch & Rebekah Brooks, no wonder she insisted on Operation Grange to keep her little tales in the press.
