These seem to be the four most popular current theories about what really happened to Madeleine McCann:
1. Stolen by a Europe-based paedophile gang (Operation Grange Theory B)
2. Madeleine opened the patio door, walked down the steps and down the road (Mark Williams-Thomas)
3. Murdered during a burglary-gone-wrong - and seen by 'Smithman later' (Operation Grange Theory A)
4. Died in her parents' apartment (Goncalo Amaral and other researchers).
Whch is the most absurd?

It isn't an easy choice, because while 1-3 are absurd, they aren't equally absurd. The MW-T theory, (if a ridiculous rambling brain f*rt can be classed as a theory) stands out as an embarrassment beyond the normal loony abduction theories.

Saying equally absurd made the choice difficult. Even a bungling burglar would have taken cameras etc. but Gerry said nothing of value was taken. It's amazing how much money they have made from Madeleine's disappearance... disgraceful ...searching not included.
As a parent, I have found most things the McCanns have said to be unusual behaviour. e.g. Kate discovers Madeleine missing , yet ignores the twins and rushes back to the Tapas bar to tell the others. Should she not have considered the possibility that an abductor might return for the twins? Not if there wasn't an abductor.
They all lived with their phones , texting and calling continuously. In the unlikely event that they went out without their phones, any protective parent would pick up the twins and take them with them. Blowing curtains and slamming door was Kate's take at a Brian Rix farce. Most parents know the dangers of babies rolling over and suffocating.

The Donal McIntyre theory is laughable.
Two abductors with cleaning tackle who weren't smart enough to open the door and let themselves out. They struggled through a small window which slid back only half way, raising noisy shutters as they went. I had visions of Charlie Drake and Mr. Pastry from the 1950's slapstick humour on the tv.

Operation Grange's 2 theories seem to be equally and monumentally absurd. A total disgrace that our foremost Police Force feeds the public with this dross. MWT's wandering off theory ( accident? passing abductor?) is marginally less absurd. All the evidence carefully gathered by dedicated researchers on this forum confirms that Gonçalo Amaral is onto the truth of what happened. Power to him.

It's a difficult one as 1, 2 and 3 are all ridiculous, but I had to go with the burglary gone wrong. No items were taken and the apartment was forensically cleaned, leaving no trace of any intruder in a space of minutes?
Also logically I would say it is impossible and would be a complete first of its kind if it had actually happened. What burglar would break in, see the apartment was occupied (with no valuables) and decide to commit a murder? Sorry, no way on Earth this happened.

Donal MacIntyre is the winner by a country mile. He's chucked everything in. Body soul and reputation.
Comedy gold that was. His earnest face into the camera was priceless. He did such a brilliant job of demonstrating the unfeasibilty of the ingress and egress that many of us were convinced this was an exercise in nailing all the lies. Some, unwilling to let go of that idea, doggedly awaited a sequel where he would construct his own credible version of events. But alas and alack, no.
As a result, his work is right up there with the Benny Hill tapas child checks film. Altogether now ...Da-ah aah .. da da dada da di dada di da.

I think #4 is close to the truth but she didn't necessary died inside 5A,the snifferdog made alert for death behind the sofa and the wardrobe,yes, but "someone" could have temporarily hide a bag with her clothes behind the sofa and moved it to the wardrobe.
