Why was Cuddle Cat washed

Kate told us herself she washed it.

Why tell us it had been washed? The point of making this public knowledge?

Why was it washed? What was on it that it needed washing?

Did the blood dog ever alert to it? Believe it didn't, so what was on it?

We all know the sun cream ŵas a bullshit excuse. Why not make CC and indeed her clothes disappear like Gerry's clothes did? No one knew of the existence of CC so she could have paraded another toy. There's a pic of Kate infront of a reward poster holding a toy doll. Why not just use that? But then what happened to. That doll? Questions, questions...

Amelie was pictured with CC. Was this to contaminate with her DNA? I wouldn't let anyone play with my missing child's toy.

IIRC there's a baby photo of m & k with CC.

I think thats a good question.
I thought it was used as a prop. i dont think it was Madeleines. Maybe they introduced it deliberately as a red herring - to make people discuss how awful Kate
was to wash it.

And as to Kate's comment that she'd washed Cuddlecat - I thought that was in response to a question from someone in the media who'd noticed that Cuddlecat was a lot cleaner looking than in previous photo ops. I think if my memory is correct and this is true, then the journo was either very brave to ask, or it was an innocent question - and it put Kate on the spot. So she had to make up some excuse for washing Cuddlecat and came up with the excuse that it was because it was starting to smell of suntan oil. Not a very convincing excuse to me. But then, I think they knew the sniffer dogs were on their way...?

I know the cadaver dog alerted wasn't sure about the blood dog.

They had the sites cuddlecat.org & .co.uk linking to fm.

Did they ever have the .com? That became an available domain in 2004

I remember the mother holding the child's toy and saying she had washed it. I thought that was a strange thing to do. Wouldn't a mother want to keep her missing child's odour on the toy?

Maybe not . . . I'm not a mother, not even female.

In answer to your question, yes. As a mother I would say most definitely, yes.
