CMOMM: The First Seven Years

The Complete Mystery of Madeleine McCann, 25 November 2009 to 25 November 2016

Founded on 25 November 2009, today - 25 November 2016 - will see CMOMM enter its eighth year.

Today is the 2,558^th day of its existence.

Its survival and progress has been ensured by a skilled, wise and committed owner, Jill Havern.

Its membership stands today at 6,454 - which if you work it out is an average rate of new joiners of over 2½ members every day, or nearly 18 new members every week since its formation.
A total of 1,791 new members have been added in the past 12 months.

Admittedly many members do not actively post, or post only seldom, but nevertheless, in the past year, a total of 1,301 members have actively logged in, while we know that many more don’t log in but come here regularly to read.

During most evenings, check the numbers actually viewing the forum at any one moment, and it will invariably be above 150, and commonly over 200.

More stats: As of yesterday, the forum had:

61 sections

21,136 topics started - an average of over 7 new topics started every day over the past 7 years

The ‘Welcome to CMOMM' section has 10,568 topics, reflecting the regular influx of new members.

The ‘McCann: Latest News’ section has 1,801 topics, not far short of a new topic of news about Madeleine every day for 7 years.

CMOMM continues to receive very high Google rankings whenever any topic related to Madeleine McCann is searched for.

CMOMM members HideHo and Richard D Hall between them have made YouTube videos and documentaries seen by millions. Many other members here have also placed Madeleine-related research on YouTube and elsewhere on the internet.

Reputation points

Not everyone enthuses about the forum’s reputation points, which were introduced around two years ago. But they do seem to be pretty popular.

I have done some calculations on the reputation points of some of our more regular mernbers, using the formula:

Number of reputation points divided by number of posts.

This works well for those who have joined within the past two years or so, but not for more long-standing members, who of course couldn’t acquire reputation points until they were brought in.

All this is for fun, not to be taken too seriously. Even if you come top, there are no prizes.

In terms of newer members, there was a very clear winner: sandancer.

sandancer scored 2.24 (217 reputation points, 97 posts). Formidable!

Other newer members who scored well were as follows:

Finally, during the past year, CMOMM has continued to fulfil and further its stated core purpose, which is as stated on the Home page:

“CMOMM is dedicated to the truth about what really happened to Madeleine McCann. We regularly submit evidence to the British and Portuguese Police”.

You may like to use this thread to suggest ways in which CMOMM could be further developed or improved.

Congratulations! And a big thank you to Jill, Tony and all other staffers. Best forum I was ever a member of. I do hope there will be a more developments soon: Dr Amaral maybe finally be freed of this crazy court case, and finding out what happened to Madeleine. Maybe then we can also correct the injustice done to Tony.
I do hope that there will be another 8 years for this forum. I don't post a lot but I check in (almost) everyday!

Many congratulations to all those who have put in such hard work in developing and maintaining this forum. A great source of research and information, all playing an important part in raising awareness and getting information out there especially to those who previously only got their news from mainstream media. All those fighting for truth and justice to uncover the Hillsbrough lies helped to finally get the truth revealed. Let's hope we see truth and justice for Madeleine before too much longer x
