Dis or diss is slang for disrespect. "Don't diss your elders" for example.

The McCanns could not of course be accused of doing that to anyone, says she with tongue firmly in cheek.

Just a word processing mistake IMO. The word `disappearance` was initially included somewhere in the sentence then changed and that bit missed.

`Diss` was used before the Jamaican `rap/respect` slang became integrated into our language - it merely meant dismissed.

it is possible it should be did and not dis.

WE are well aware of typos espcially with the daily mail, maybe the Telegraph wants to join the party dance
