Value of the McCanns' claim against Goncalo Amaral falls by £108,000 in a year, as the euro's value against the pound slumps from 88p to 79p

The past year has been a bad one for the euro, not least in its continual slump against the pound, as this chart today on the BBC website shows:
During this period, the euro's value against the pound has slumped from 88p to 79p - a drop of more than 10%.
The McCanns' claim against Goncalo Amaral and the other defendants was therefore worth £1,056,000 a year ago.
Now, at 1 euro = 79p., that figure is down to £948,000.
A loss of £108,000 in one year.
Of course the euro might revive before the long-awaited closure of the case of McCanns v Amaral.
That is, if the McCanns are awarded anything at all
