Officers raided a remote home in Co Donegal after a recent tip-off, but were stunned when they burst into the house only to find the picture of the missing child on a wall in the house

Police raided a home after receiving an anonymous tip-off that may have lead them to Madeleine McCann - but were left disappointed.

Officers searched a remote home in Donegal but were stunned when they burst into the house only to find the picture of the missing child on a wall in the house.

Following the raid, Irish police contacted Interpol to inform them of the bizarre discovery.

Checks were then made in a bid to determine where the man in the Donegal case was, when little Madeleine went missing in the resort of Praia da Luz in Portugal, on May 3, 2003.

Madeleine’s disappearance sparked one of the biggest missing persons cases in living memory, but no trace has ever been found of the child.

However, following checks, officers were satisfied that there was no connection with their man and the missing girl.

A Garda source told the Irish Mirror there was no way the man could have been in Portugal at the time Maddie disappeared.

“It was a full-scale operation as we were fearful the man would destroy any potential evidence we were trying to gather before we arrested him,” they said.

“However, nobody was prepared for the picture of Maddie McCann in the house. It was very unusual to say the least considering the circumstances.

“We had to make all the relevant checks but are satisfied that this man had nothing to do with that particular case.”

It is understood a genuine reason was given by another person in the house for the picture of the missing child.

Gardai did remove a number of items from the house following the raid including a laptop computer.

A man has appeared in court in relation to the Garda raid.

If anyone wants to raid my house I have several pictures of Madeleine, not on the wall admittedly, but on the front of and inside several books. And for the record, she is not here.

Who is this man?
What was his alleged crime?
Who tipped off the Gardia?
Which picture of Madeleine did he have?
Was it really Madeleine or a look alike?
Was the poster downloaded from the McCann website and displayed as requested by the McCanns?
Is this man connected to the McCanns or Tony Blair in any way?

Really this is definitely non news, all it says is that Mr no-name tips off the cops about about an undisclosed crime by Mr nameless and they allegedly find a picture that they say looks like Madeleine. This is a load of nonsense but at least the got a story out of it.

Millions of people have pictures on their walls of Jesus of Nazareth.
Are the Irish Police going to interview them all about His murder ?

I sure I can remember exactly what I was doing in 2003.
I wrote it all down on the back of a book I ripped up for the occasion.
Just give me time to find it. It is probably filed with the cornflakes packets and the old envelopes.

Our computers are loaded with info and articles about Madeleine. Did we all 'abduct' her?

It is Christmas, and the story MUST be put into the public mind, to prevent its being swamped by the story of the Birth of our Lord and Saviour,  or the Father Covidmas Virus, or not being able to have more then three entire households round for dinner, or any of the other usual stuff.

The Madeleine story MUST be promulgated.  Once it stops the McCanns are finished.
