What gives the McCanns the right to ask students, particularly schoolchildren, to divulge personal information (especially which social media sites they're members of) before they can sign up to help find their daughter when they didn't even search for her themselves because it was too dark? Dave Edgar, their private detective at the time, [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] that Madeleine was being held captive in a secret lair in a lawless village in Praia da Luz. Have they even searched there themselves yet? No!

I wonder if the students had to buy their good quality wristbands and travel packs, which consists of 10 English posters, 2 luggage tags, 2 wallet cards and a car sticker, from their [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]?

This made me visit that Mccanns site findmadeleine.com for the first time and found it interesting that in case you have any information, they ask to fill in their form, e-mail them or call them. No police. They know why.

It would seem that their reason for wanting any information sent to them and not to the police is that they wish to still keep control of this whole sorry investigation.

Whether they've always been control freaks or whether it only started with their child's "disappearance" is hard for people with no prior knowledge of them to judge but they have been remarkably adept at getting people of importance in the UK 'onside'.  

Latterly it was obviously helped by their sudden accumulation of millions of pounds at their disposal and being able to employ top PR men and the most feared libel lawyer in Britain but there seems to be no obvious reason why, from the very start, they were able to call on top policemen and the very highest politicians in the UK to "lean" on the Portugese police authorities and obtain almost unique treatment for themselves.  Unless McCann is an extremely senior freemason  what would that give him enough clout to have senior policemen apparently protecting, rather than investigating, him and for the Prime Minister to be in contact with the police?

With an apparent total lack of evidence for an abduction and a great many conflicting stories from all their medical friends, together with the evidence of blood & cadaver in their appartment & car, it is hard to understand why they weren't arrested almost immediately.   In the intervening time the story of an "abduction" - without any proof of such - seems to have been embroidered with blame being directed at several other people without any real evidence of their involvement.

From the very beginning the McCanns don't appear to have been seriously questioned about their reasons for stating Madeleine was abducted and have vehemently and peremptorily refused to answer any questions that touch upon the alternative and more likely explanations.
