Re: AGAINST CHILD ABUSE RALLY LONDON UK 2010 7TH AUGUST

After a bad start where I had a tyre blow out just over a mile away from Trafalgar square and had an extensive wait for the RAC, I finally got to the event about 2pm. There were crowds of people gathered round listening to the speakers and exchanging contact details.

It was an excellent day, many victims and survivors of abuse took the stand and stood up to be heard, naming and shaming not only their abuser, but also social services and the government.

One lady told how she was abused whilst in foster care and one day decided that she should be brave and tell social services that she wasn’t happy where she was and the reasons why, as you can imagine, this would be a very difficult task for a child. Social services decided to arrange psychiatric assistance for this little girl. Years later, that same little girl, now a grown woman demanded her files from social services, and there in the files was no mention of any mental problems but all the evidence of abuse; Social Services knew all along that she telling the truth but choose to turn a blind eye and cover it up by saying that the child was mentally unstable.

Another woman spoke of being abused by her father, she was a child who thought she had a right to inform the authorities but she was told “stop this right now or else you will get your father into trouble”

A relative of a victim spoke of a dangerous paedophile that not only rapes but later murders his victim. He is fighting to keep this man in prison.

Another spoke of a paedophile who got 5 years for abusing him, another 5 years for abusing someone else as soon as he was released. The abuser is now serving a very lengthy sentence for further abuse, but should he have ever been let out onto the street?

There were many others who took the stand, each one telling us of their own ordeal, what went on, how they coped and how the abuse has affected them in later years. Most revealing was the lack of concern from social services who appear to be almost as guilty as the original abusers.

One person who was abused at home was subsequently abused by his social worker.

I spoke to a lady, “a survivor of abuse”, she actually knows of someone who, as a child witnessed sexual abuse and crucifixion at the Vatican.

It was good to see that these “survivors”, who refuse to be to seen as “victims”, get together and stand up to be counted, each and everyone now able to open up to others and expose their abuser, and the authorities who were supposed to be protecting them.

Some quotes from the event:

“A child should be a happy child, a person in his\her own right, playing with toys, bikes, dolls. A child is not someone else’s plaything”.

“Not all paedophiles are dirty old men in macs as the media would have us believe; the worst offenders are men in suits, police officers, government officials and other people in high places”

“We are governed by filth”

Bill Maloney was also present with Pie and Mash films

There was an excellent speech from Brian Gerrish who touched on the problems of Paedophilia in the Catholic Church. He pointed out that Paedophiles are not only dirty old men in macs as portrayed in the UK media but also men in suits, government officials, police officers, judges.

Brian is very concerned about “Project Caressing” ]http://www.children-ourinvestment.org/PCpage.htm , schools are to teach children that touching and caressing is right for them.

Are we to beleive that one day Paedophillia will be legal?

Towards the end of the afternoon we had songs and poetry from the survivors, then all victims and survivors were called to the centre to join together whilst the activists all joined hands and made a pact to stick together and to work together to fight against child abuse, paedophilia and government cover-ups.

Paedophillia is a dirty word, people don`t like to talk about it, but if we are to even begin to put an end to it we must discuss it between ourselves and with others, our silence only serves to assist the perpetrators of this disgusting crime.

If not already aware of it www.bsafe1stalways.com is a site of a survivor which tells his struggle to try and get some form of justice for the abuse he suffered, highlights his campaigns, his letters to the government etc.,
