Terry Pratchett has died

Post by sallypelt on 12.03.15 16:12

How sad to hear of the passing of Terry Pratchett. He will be sorely missed.

Here is one of his quotes, that, IMO, sums up the members on this forum:

The presence of those seeking the truth is infinitely to be preferred to the presence of those who think they’ve found it. – from Monstrous Regiment

I cried when i heard the news, he is one of my favorite authors.

Even though i knew he had dementia and age was sneaking up fast i always thought, hoped we would have more time togeather.
It was always one more book please, one more book.
Sadly there will be no more books.

He completed his last book during the summer, it is one i  am impatient to read yet at the same time i don't want to read it as it will, as always, leave me wanting more.
An impossible wish as from today.

I prefer to think of Sir terry as not dead, rather he has gone on an awfully big adventure with Death, Albert, Binky and the Death of Rats.

Who knows, perhaps in Discworld he will write entertaining stories about a strange planet called Roundworld, after all, we all know it was the wizards trying to create a new power source ( a reactor to split the thaum)  producing too much power so Hex had to divert it somewhere and created a nothingness and The Dean then inserting his fingers into said nothingness and twiddling them that caused Roundworld to magically appear.
