So said the British government spindoctor seconded to Portugal to assist Gerry and Kate McCann within days of their daughters alleged disappearance from apartment 5a of the Ocean Club holiday complex, Praia da Luz on the Portuguese Algarve.
As distance is relative so time is of the essence - time and distance are infinite, only defined by mankind over centuries of shaping natural elements to fit man made ideology.
Time and distance required by historians and futurists alike to document events past, present and future - a fictitious evolutionary sequence designed to compartmentalize life into some sort of coherent chronology.
This is precisely how the disappearance of the three year old child, Madeleine McCann, has been managed since the spring of the year 2007 AD. Artfully managed to ensure a cloud of doubt over the sequence of events - the time and the distance only created to fit the ideology, the chosen word of the few.
It's not reasonable to expect anyone that's not directly involved with the disappearance of a three year old child to recollect timing with any degree of accuracy, it can only be guess work. After all, who clocks their every move during every minute and every hour of every day, it's not possible to recount with any precision, it can only be guesswork. The main players, those directly involved, on the other hand are expected to have at least some idea of accuracy when their recollection is so vital. What parent doesn't recall little incidents involving their precious off-spring many years before during childhood .... how little Johnny slipped in the mud at Camber Sands or little Mary rolled down Box Hill after losing her balance when looking for worms.
So what do we have here - the official documented evidence so vital to uncovering the truth about Madeleine McCann's mysterious disappearance? The parents of Madeleine and their group of friends who can't even remember events of a few hours and/or days prior with any accuracy.
Sadly, that is the extent of the available evidence .... the McCann group version of events with little or nothing to confirm one way or the other with any degree of accuracy. A convoluting account of hours and days during the week Saturday 28th April 2007 and the alleged day of Madeleine's disappearance - Thursday 3rd May 2007. Who took the photographs, who was where on any one day at any one time, who will say beyond a shadow of doubt that Madeleine McCann was seen at a specific place at a specific day or time during the week.
Indeed, the only evidence of Madeleine McCann's presence was the family's arrival at the Ocean Club, Praia da Luz on Saturday 28th April 2007. Beyond that there is little or nothing to work on which poses the all important question - when was Madeleine last seen alive and well? Why was it so important for the group to confuse events to such an extent that the proceeds of the week are unfathomable? Why is there no concrete evidence of Madeleine being alive and well at the Ocean Club after arrival on Saturday 28th April 2007.
Why are the parents and their group of friends so evasive?
Three specific images of Madeleine McCann were used by the parents and their friends, seemingly to evidence a healthy living child during the holiday week; a playground image, a tennis court image and a poolside image - all three orchestrated to depict Madeleine alive and well on specific days of the week. Problem with the plan so far .... the parents and their friends couldn't even get their own individual stories straight - could be a deliberate attempt to obfuscate or could be a genuine memory lapse, who can say? Whether deliberate or unintentional, the effect is the same - confusion, detail that can't be ratified by any one reliable witness.
One said this, one said that, one said the other, never to be rationalized nor unraveled even for the sake of little Madeleine McCann. Within hours and/or days of such a tragic event as the loss of a child, surely it's reasonable to expect the nearest and dearest to remember who was where when and why? I'm given to understand that official police detectives are anxious to interview victims and witnesses as soon after the event as possible, when the memory is at it's best. In this instance however, the prime witnesses memory - the McCann parents and their friends was very vague in the first few hours but improved significantly some weeks, months years later. Does that not ring alarm bells loud and clear.
Can the disappearance of a three year old little girl be so easily pushed aside on the matter of a man made time piece? Did the ancient Egyptians bury the mystery of the death of Tutankhamun because the sundial didn't synchronize with the man made Black Forest cuckoo clock?
Distance is relative as time is of the essence.
