Dog with an incredibly reliable nose awarded, posthumously, highest military honour for animals
Thank goodness this dog's nose wasn't 'incredibly unreliable'...

They were photographed and the photo handed to a press agency, who released it on 8 May, as the search for Madeleine continued. The McCanns held up these same pyjamas at two press conferences on 5 & 7June 2007. How could Madeleine have been abducted?"

This march in Melton Mowbray in April, to honour military dogs, didn't get much publicity unfortunately - doubt the crowds were shouting 'they're incredibly unreliable'

'right of passage': The Royal Army Veterinary Corps, based at the Defence Animal Centre in the town, on the march
Thousands gathered to honour four-legged military heroes, their handlers and riders as they exercised their ancient "right of passage" to parade through a town's streets.
Crowds, several deep in places, lined the streets of Melton to clap and cheer the Royal Army Veterinary Corps (RAVC) personnel, dogs and horses which are based at the Defence Animal Centre (DAC) in the town.
Among the 24 spaniels, German shepherds and other breeds on parade were 12 which have seen front-line duty in Afghanistan with handlers from 1st Military Working Dog Regiment (1MWD).

Another article about "war dogs". Amazing how many lives they have saved. Sorry for the extreme long link. I should have gone to tiny ulr
