At  least our dearest Rebekah solved the worst crime in the English history, the most expensive and the most fraudulent.
Let us all be thankful to her!

Her email read: I had an hour on the phone to Tony Blair.

"He said:

"1. Form an independent unit that has an outside junior counsel, Ken Macdonald [former director of public prosecutions], a great and good type, a serious forensic criminal barrister, internal counsel, proper fact checkers etc in it. Get them to investigate me and others and publish a Hutton-style report.

"2. Publish part one of the report at same time as the police closes its inquiry and clear you and accept shortcomings and new solutions and process and part two when any trials are over.

"3. Keep strong and definitely sleeping pills. Need to have clear heads and remember no rash short-term solutions as they only give you long-term headaches.

"4. It will pass. Tough up.

"5. He is available for you, KRM [Rupert Murdoch] and me as an unofficial adviser but needs to be between us. He is sending more notes later."

A hell lot more than those brief points can be said in the one hour-long phone call.
Imagine if her call was hacked ?

She expected more notes from Blair meaning she already had some from him.
Woud Prosecutor ask her yield up those notes?  Even knowing she would refuse, at least her refusal will be on record.

Expect Blair to start destroying evidence if he hasn't already done so.

Surely he's rich enough without needing to offer his 'unofficial advice' for money. He currently coins in £10 million a year as a 'consultant' for JP Morgan. Maybe he's just greedy?!

Surely not. He is a Socialist, and therefore believes in fair shares for everyone.

Ghastly Bliar , doesn't count sheep at night to get to sleep ...he counts money, and with the amount of tortured souls that haunt him he needs to count an aweful lot of dosh....I guess sleeping tablets wouldnt cut the mustard for a tyrant of his standing.

Are you sure, sonic72?

I thought it was 'only' $6 million dollars a year (=about £4 million per year):

It strikes me that "these people" are all stomping about in the same stable - which needs a good "mucking out"!

I doubt whether anything will topple Blair, as has been said, they watch each others backs.

Rebekah Brooks cleared of one charge

Rebekah Brooks arrives at court Rebekah Brooks has been acquitted of one of the five charges against her

Former News of the World editor Rebekah Brooks has been formally acquitted of one of the charges against her at the phone-hacking trial.

Mrs Brooks has been cleared of one count of conspiracy to commit misconduct in public office. She still faces four other charges.

The judge directed the jury to acquit her of an allegation that she authorised a Sun reporter to pay for a picture of Prince William in a bikini.

There was "no case to answer", he said.

"Whether or not there is a case to answer is for me to decide on a matter of law," Mr Justice Saunders told the jury at the Old Bailey.

"It is for you to bring in a verdict of not guilty on that count now."

In that count, Mrs Brooks was accused of authorising a reporter to pay a serving member of the armed forces £4,000 for a picture of Prince William dressed in a bikini at a fancy dress party at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

Mrs Brooks, 45, still faces two charges of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice, one of conspiracy to commit misconduct in public office and one of conspiracy to hack voicemail messages - all of which she denies.

It's bleeding obvious she and her bosses were part of the Hacking Criminality, why else would she need the advice of Blair?
