Pinning evidence through DNA on dead suspects - not to be trusted according to this comment

This comment is from an article about Savile, his DNA was used recently to see if he was involved in any unsolved cases, including murder.
The results were negative apparently.

I was interested though to see this comment, when you think about the possibility of Operation Grange trying to pin Madeleine's disappearance on Hewlett, Tractorman and the like.

Easy enough - especially given todays technology, to pin anything on a dead man. Plus, given the ever escalating numbers of unsafe convictions, personally, I, and a large swathe of defence Lawyers and Barristers wouldn't trust them an inch."
