'Snatched to order?' Who ordered it?
'Sold by her kidnappers?' Kidnappers??!! Did they sell her on when her parents failed to cough up the ransom money?

So how many other children on holiday in PDL were snatched to order? No other children that I know of, so why only Madeleine? And why take a dead child (cadaver odour in the apartment)?

And why didn't the Tapas 9 rush off in the direction JT saw the abductor walking when she reported what she had seen - a man carrying off a child she was now certain was Madeleine? Why didn't they organise a search in that direction - start banging on parked vans, knocking on doors and garages, checking in ditches. Surely that is what any group would do in those circumstances. What did they say when JT told them? "Oh right, Jane. Interesting, but let's sleep on it. No point in getting worked up about it now. Things may look different in the fresh light of morning. For the moment it's more important we complain to the Police about their failure to close borders, run off some photos with the Ocean staff and contact the media."

Methinks Desmond is having a laugh...
It is worse than that by far.
It is utterly shameless.
The lining of the pockets of the owners of our mainstream tabloids, about a missing three-year-old British girl, without any journalist on those papers lifting a finger to do one second of true investigative journalism, and relying for news about the case on recycling the claims of a full-time public relations manipulator close to the top of both main political parties and to the world's most powerful media mogul, Rupert Murdoch.
Our society is well and truly on the slide

"Suspects paid to snatch Maddie". They've come up with every possible version of this over the past (almost) 7 years, knowing that it's untrue. I would just love to meet the Chief Editor of the Express and ask him/her why they keep publishing this rubbish. It sells papers, I know but my God, if this Chief Editor has a family (kids), how does s/he sleep at night. S/he has to have read the Official police files. It's almost soul-destroying.

Brunt long ago gave up any claim to be a serious journalist - when he signed up for Team McCann and started posting articles trashing Amaral. Anyone with any knowledge of the case will I suggest find it difficult to trust him as a serious crime correspondent, given he no longer shows any scepticism toward the Team McCann version of events.

Of course the papers aren't serious. They're joking around. They've been doing this with the mccanns mostly not with others!
It's so funny.
But weren't we told that one employee was a thief, JUST because he didn't share the tip! Now that's what I call a real THIEF hey. Maybe were all expected to join in the laugh, problem is poor Madeleine xx

What's amazing is that every story in this saga has been treated (at the time) as the Absolute Truth. A big picture, followed by "BREAKING NEWS: Tractorman / Locked up sex offender / Gypsies / 3 Burglars / Gang / Ex-employees stole Maddie" And at no time do they ever say - "actually those other stories in the past were in fact nonsense". Each one is The Truth for a few days or weeks. Until it isn't. Such is life in the UK printed media. No attempt to seek truth - simply to generate a headline and big sales. And to be fair, it works... So they are unlikely to ever change.

Blonde child futures are now trading above the 1000 $ mark again for the first time for 7 years
The market saw a slump in 2008, as it became flooded with children from southern Portugal,
and has taken six years to recover.
A spokesman from the trading floor explained
"Whilst blond is still going North, the downturn affected the entire market

So now the 3 burglars are Ocean Club Ex Employees
Sky "news" today [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
British police investigating Madeleine McCann's disappearance have asked their Portuguese counterparts to search the homes and bank accounts of three suspects.
A Scotland Yard team led by Detective Chief Inspector Andy Redwood made the request during meetings about new leads in the case with senior members of Portugal's Policia Judiciaria earlier this week.
Investigators believe the trio were workers at the Ocean Club complex in Praia da Luz, where the McCann family were staying in 2007 and were behind a string of burglaries in the weeks before Madeleine, then three, went missing.
Former Ocean Club worker Nelson Rodrigues, told Sky News Crime Correspondent Martin Brunt that employees at the complex would have had the perfect opportunity to snatch a child.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Nelson Rodrigues speaks to Sky's Martin Brunt
He said: "Yes, you could suspect (them). The workers there know the shifts and the hours when people are at home or not at home.
"It's waiters, barmen, people from maintenance, reception, the cleaners - it's a lot of staff."
In May 2007, when the McCanns were holidaying in the Algarve, there were some 160 people working at the family resort.

One expat apartment owner told Sky News that he had property stolen about a month before Madeleine disappeared and that others had been targeted.
He said there was no sign of forced entry at his property and he suspected that the thieves might have had access to a key.
The man spoke to British police 18 months ago - suggesting that their renewed probe has been focused on Ocean Club employees almost since it began.

Paul Luckman, editor of the expat Portugal News, has been following the latest developments in the case.
He told Sky News: "It's alleged that they could be employees of Ocean Club, which puts a whole new light on it and that they're not, as we've supposed until now, a little group of opportunist burglars going round stealing passports and wallets whenever there was a window open.
"There are suggestions that this is slightly different."

Earlier this month, Sky News reported that police were hunting the three men whose phones were "red hot" after Madeleine vanished.
Mobile phone records show that the men made numerous calls to each other in the hours after Kate and Gerry McCann discovered their daughter had disappeared from her room.
Madeleine's parents Kate and Gerry are said to be "buoyed" by signs of progress in the effort to find out what happened to their daughter.
But it is unclear whether Portuguese authorities will respond positively to the latest request for help from the British investigation team.

Can police just decide to search people's homes and bank accounts on a whim ? Are they required to at least question the suspects/latest poor unfortunate target first ?

Where does Smithman fit into this very professional abduction scenario? A child would certainly have been whisked away in a car, so I await the ruling out of yet another father carrying a barefoot little girl around PdL on a very cool night and who was wearing similar PJs to the other girls, Maddie and crecheman's daughter.
Getting ridiculous now.

As someone else has observed elsewhere.
3 cleaners makes much more sense than 3 burglars. or one Smithman, or one Tannerman.
They have access to a key, even though they don't need one, and they know where all the cleaning materials are kept,
so one can carry Madeleine away whilst the other two do a deep clean with bleach of the apartment
and make sure there is no forensic evidence left.
Then finally, the one properly authorised can apply the "Cadaverine-R-Us" ** spray
to throw dogs off the trail
** Cadaverine Spray comes in a handy can, ideal for handbag or jacket.
There are various scents available depending on required characteristics.
"Blond English" is sweet and almost perfect
"Swarthy foreigner" has a trace of garlic
"Cap Verde" was previously available, but is now withdrawn following protests.

But also, by implication, it completely finishes even the Smithman sighting. No point in looking for him.
Where does that leave the McCanns 'official story" now ?

One small problem, Grimes dogs don't alert to synthetic cadaver.
Although some cadaver dog trainers have had limited success with its use in training, when tested on
my dogs they showed no interest and it is not used as a training aid for them. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Gerry stated that nothing of value had been taken and burglars of the calibre that can break in without leaving any forensic evidence would have known the black-market price of every item in that apartment.
Now supposing Gerry is wrong about her value (although I seriously doubt that Gerry is ever wrong ...ever ...about anything), when the burglars picked up that sleeping 3 year old bundle of cash why would they ignore the other two bundles of cash that were also asleep in the room?

Very strange, because according to the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
One of the flats burgled at the Ocean Club is owned by a former British expat. It is in the same block as the one the McCanns rented.
The man, who is in his 50s and wishes to remain anonymous, said yesterday: “They’d taken two mobile phones, a camera and some cash. There was no sign of forced entry.
"I was convinced they had a key to get inside. I spoke to my neighbours, many of them expats, and I’d say around 90% of them had experienced the same thing… valuable items going missing out of their apartments.
I brought these complaints to the attention of the Ocean Club but they were pretty much ignored. Nothing was done.
So MW are concerned about a waiter who wouldn't share his tips but they do nothing about their apartments getting burgled.
Also in the same article, MW barman Nelson Rodrigues says:
I remember at the time things belonging to guests went missing now and then.
Mobile phones, cash, anything valuable lying around.
He said the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]:
Nelson Rodrigues, 32, a barman and waiter at the Ocean Club for two years, worked alongside Monteiro in 2006.
He said yesterday:
On the surface he was a nice guy but there was something not right with him.
He would turn up to work with bleary eyes, sometimes he didn’t seem like he was all there.
And things were going missing about that time – laptops, jewellery, mobile phones, anything that was lying around.
Mr Rodrigues said police were called after Monteiro was accused of stealing tips. He was searched, but nothing was found and he protested his innocence.
Monteiro is Tractorman.
So we're back to square one.

PM, which ‘official story’?
And Now for something completely different (with apologies to MP)
‘Paul Luckman, editor of the expat Portugal News, has been following the latest developments in the case.
He told Sky News: "It's alleged that they could be employees of Ocean Club, which puts a whole new light on it and that they're not, as we've supposed until now, a little group of opportunist burglars going round stealing passports and wallets whenever there was a window open.

Doesn’t this give TM the license to wipe the slate clean and start again now, whilst humbly(?) accepting that they may previously have had some misconceptions about what happened?

I know it's rubbish anyway, but I read the headline as that they were paid for the service provided, not for the child.
